It's possible ,that Malik McDowell kid who was less productive than chad by far went as a top 50 round pick with them being the same size. No. Mcdowell is 6'6" 300lbs and athletic as **** for a DT/DE hybrid player.
McDowell might be as athletic as Chad is right now, and Chad is like AT LEAST 20lbs lighter. That is why Mcdowell went so high even with the lack of production his final year and the "work ethic" problems. Chad will likely receive work ethic criticisms as well, because as stupid as it is, you just know some scouts/gms are going to not like that he also makes music (showing he isn't 190% dedicated to Football). McDowell can play 3tech DT, 5tech DE, or even DE in a 43. Chad doesn't have that versatility, he will only be a DE regardless what scheme he's in. Also, Mcdowell as a sophomore had better production than Chad did last year as a junior.

Also this writer didn't even mention Chris Herndon, Who I think will be drafted in the top 4 rounds.
But I think Chad could be a 2nd rounder, if he has another season like last year (needs more sacks tho) and performs well at the combine.
