CB Jontavius Wyman commits to Miami

The Canes went into Atlanta to flip four-star Georgia CB commit Jontavius Wyman. The 6’, 175-pounder from Jonesboro possesses high-level movement skills and excels as both a defender and returner. He also has a plus wingspan.

As first reported on CanesInSight, Miami was trending towards a commitment from Wyman. DB coaches Zac Etheridge and Will Harris were instrumental in pulling off the flip.

Wyman, the 17th-ranked CB in America, joins QB Dereon Coleman, RB Javian Mallory, OL Joel Ervin, OL Ben Congdon, OL JJ Sparks, LB Jordan Campbell, DB Camdin Portis and DB Jaelen Waters in Miami’s 2026 class.

For sure there is more to the story. In any event, the Canes will be fine. Good luck to the young man. Maybe in a year or so we will actually the get the truth about Jontavius when he lands on another roster or in a JuCo
