u can look around and see talent at other places, but not love fam fam, and not elite talent like that in the secondary

is it fair to say that Grace, Bostwick, and Denver come before nsd? That would surely be good momentum and take a little of the edge as we come down to the wire. Quote about we got a lot of talent here is exactly what these boyz need to see. The foundation is already here- we just need this class to solidify the work and next year to really say we are back! However before we talk next year all these boyz are needed.

Grace and Kirkland I feel really good about getting before NSD. Bostwick maybe. 6's decision might end up looking exactly like Tracy's did last year.

Golden started the fire with Tracy, Duke, and Deon last season, and it continues to spread. The south Florida kids must have pride in their city and stick together. He has sold them on it and it keeps growing.

Question for those who get to see South Florida football. Who is better AJ Leggett or Robinson as a prospect? I know Leggett was ranked higher but that doesn't mean anything. Also how does Burns compare to them? Thanks.

I would rank them Burns, Leggett, Robinson, but it's close between AJ and RR. All 3 are excellent prospects.

Robinson has a higher ceiling than Leggett, but AJ was severely underrated in South Florida last year (even though he was a 4*). He single-handedly led an abysmal South Miami team to 9 wins last year and South Miami is a perennial 3-4 win team. To reiterate my original point, Robinson is a little rough around the edges, but once he gets in the weight room and gets coaching, he will be lethal.

If we are talking about FOOTBALL PLAYERS and productivity, AJ is the best of the 3. If we are putting the whole package together as a PROSPECT, then I would agree it's Burns, Leggett, Robinson.

Awesome, thanks. Would love to land Robinson. The talent in the secondary is really a complete 180 from 2 years ago.

On this site, the term is "complete 360."

But yes, it's incredible to think that, going forward, the secondary can be the strongest unit on this team, when just a few years ago, it looked to be irreparably in shambles. What a great job Golden has done addressing our needs at safety and cornerback in just a couple recruiting classes.

If this all comes together on signing day and down the road with UM becoming contenders again, we'll look back and realize how crucial and influential it was to get Duke, Tracy, and Deon, last year. Those 3 guys will be remembered as the foundation on which Golden built his fence around SoFla.

I think at the time most of us realised what a huge get Tracy and Deon were. Duke is a Cane regardless of who the HC is (and obviously he's a great player).

As ESF has said Duke Johnson is The Single most important recruit this program has signed in at least 10 years.

Special Talent and personality.
