complete overhaul is needed AD dept need a house cleaning as well..... would you trust Blake or Carol to hire an Alpha dog HC? cannot imagine any HC who has had success Howard, JJ,
Butch even Dennis working with Blake and his team

This was great. I cannot look at film and take away the detail that you do. I had many of the same feelings about the team, etc and I was happy to hear I wasn't alone.

You made me think about the offense and your take that the game plan was basically the UAB plan. I also think it's time to sit Donaldson back down and let's get Jarrid Williams and Oluwaseun on the field. There's nothing you can do about Gaynor; I don't think any of the other guys, except maybe Rivers is smart enough to play center. I've said it before and I'll say it again; losing Campbell and clark REALLY hurt the OL.... The only difference on the OL from last year is the loss of Campbell, Clark and the addition of Navaughn and Oluwaseun. maybe it upset the symmetry. IDK

Central Conn is the perfect opportunity to get some of the younger OL guys on the field. Get them some game reps. Let's see what Big Baby can do at center. There's nothing to lose. As you mentioned , it gives those guys some film to build on...

I will echo the sentiment that Lashlee needs to open up the offense this game. It's pretty clear King is frustrated, too. He cannot continue to run 19 times a game.

I agree. Lashlee needs to open the offense but I dont mind seeing King run 19 times a game. The offense should be either him throwing or him running/scrambling. The standard running game is not going to work. Its college football. Let King put the team on his back and make all the plays.

Absolutely agree. I think we don't take advantage of King's legs enough. Teams don't have to really respect him as a running threat unless its a broken down pass play he scrambles for. I think if we have some designed runs more for him it may benefit the overall running game and cause defenses to take a half step on plays.

Several times King was taking off running when he had clean pockets. He just needs to trust the blocking and let the plays develop. It's turning into a bad habit like a rookie QB. Looking at his 1st option, then taking off running if it's not open despite having adequate protection.

Sometimes the blocking wasn't there and no one was open. Then run. However, too many times it was like he was seeing ghosts when the blocking was good.

Clark is a natural center. I’d even say Scaife might be better than weak *** Gayyyyyyynor.

Great show guys!! It seems like I’m seeing the same movie year after year after year. That movie says we get lose and probably get throttled tomorrow. If we lose, no we don’t get anything fixed this year, because the wheels will come off and season will be a sheet show. If that’s the case, next year will not be fixed as next our top guys will bail via portal and upcoming class will have major decommits. If we play good solid football and win, then yes, a good amount of problems can be fixed.

I agree that the Diaz hire was ridiculously lazy. Can he turn it around? Unfortunately I really don’t think that’s happening this year with the horrendous Oline play, lack of running game and only running up the middle, horrible game planning on both sides of the ball, lack of discipline and too many penalties, LB and RB depth, dropped passes on crucial plays, taking forever to get going and playing with effort, and surprisingly Lashlees play calling. I think Manny needed head coaching experience before coaching at a big P5 program ESPECIALLY Miami. UM is probably the hardest all around coaching job in the entire nation for many reasons. EXTREMELY irrational fan base, myself included, (let’s be honest we are the WORST from the slurpers to the chicken littles), having so many studs locally that refuse to stay home and get the crib back to it’s glory days because we don’t pay players and we haven’t showed a good product or improvement for basically at least the past 16 years, Administration and BOT are ok with being mediocre as long as we are getting that ACC conference money, and we are not churning out first rounders like we used to and there are other schools that are doing what we used to do in that regard so our prestigious history is non existent to them. With all of that being said I REALLY do hope Manny can turn it around because that would be the best thing for the University. It will be almost IMPOSSIBLE with the way college football is now a days. It’s set up where there will only be 5-6 teams that will ever have a chance to win a championship. We will never have the resources to be one of those teams so unless Urban Meyer or a coach with a win at all costs type of mentality even if that means cheating or doing whatever is necessary to get there it don’t matter who our coach is we will never get to the top of the mountain again. It’s a sad reality but it is what it is unless something changes in the college football landscape. If we can’t get a Saban (I hate him more than any coach for how he played the Dolphins but you cant argue with his college results) type coach then our best chance to try and get there is to not fire Manny and actually give him some time to improve the roster. You can’t argue with the fact that most of our most talented players with the higher ceilings are the freshman and sophomores. If he can pull off 2 more classes like that then maybe we can consistently win 10 plus a year then either we can convince a lot more elite recruits to come here or entice an elite coach to come here because we would have a great roster and they wouldn’t have to rebuild and would get the new coach bump in recruiting as well. Honestly the revolving door of coaching staff’s has really hurt the program. Manny should get a few more years. I mean Butch had some pretty horrific seasons and he didn’t get fired after year 3. Maybe Manny just needs more time. He fixes the issues quickly and doesn’t waste time making them worse and he is really intelligent. Plus if he turns it around we don’t have to worry about him bolting for the NFL like every championship coach we EVER had. This is his dream job. Anyways I doubt we turn it around this year but if we can keep stacking recruiting classes together like the last 2 I feel like that would be our best shot. Either way I will ALWAYS support my beloved CANES. For better or for worse. GO CANES!!!

Thanks SteveO!!!! Totally agree Austin-Cave should be getting snaps especially on passing downs. The young man can cover and tackle. I think he's the fastest MLB we have.
