Kid is going to Nebraska IMO. Frost will capitalize on being the "new" face. And the kid obviously likes what Neb can offer him as far as opportunity. As for us, if we get our wish and its either of the young QBs we are completely out. He will not go where there is a young guy in from of him. Thats how I read his interview anyway. He wants a chance to play early, and If we have Nkosi or Williams he will not have that opportunity..
Hate to admit but I think he's leaning towards there also that's what scares me about us putting all our faith in one kid this cycle

For all of you that are worried about him going to Nebraska, obviously you have never been through a mid western winter. No one in there right mind is voluntarily going to a place where it is routinely negative 10 degrees during a sustained period of time.

Winter doesn't keep kids from going to Ohio St, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn St, Notre Dame, etc.

If you have the coach and facilities, kids will go. Nebraska is about to get real. Winning > Weather

Yeah, because Oregon is 85 degrees year round.

We can’t let him drag this out past paradise camp without starting to recruit other options

Johnson thinks Coach Frost is a genius and he likes thick skrong farm girls. Miami in trouble here.

Why do people say dumb **** like this

I don't think you get how football works, and that's a **** poor excuse. That's not stopping the NDs, PSUs of the world from getting top tier talent. Same can be said of a kid wanting to come to Miami w/ our humidity index or Bama w/ their KKK rallies. Kids dgaf about any of that. The bottom line is, can this place get me to the NFL? Will the school show case my talent and will I be seen on a winning program? If the answer is yes, it don't matter. We gotta stop using that line of reasoning. Weather is not a deterrent. If it was, we wouldn't see so many So Fla kids bounce to OSU.

It is funny how boring all the great schools seem after last year's Miami season. Sure we lost the last three but which of those schools would have stolen the news cycle like us. Winning is fun but winning at Miami frigging fantastic. If we win the NC, Trump would probably fly the team to White House in Air Force One just to get in the news cycle. It is just better as a Cane.

I respect the coaches for identifying a quarterback early and going hard after him. WE would be heavily criticizing our staff if our top QB options were 3 stars. We are looking good, but I respect the effort and energy being put on this recruitment.

I think we’ll get him but if we don’t.. there’s no need to panic.. we already have to solid freshman on the depth chart.. plus let’s not forget that Williams was napped late in the process so I’m sure the coaches have a good backup plan in the works

Well if kids are worried about playing time with our stacked depth chart at QB, what makes you think we'd succeed with anyone else?

A QB is a waste of a schollie this year.

Sounds like we really do not have a backup plan

Good. We don't need a QB this cycle. Maybe our coaches are ok with shooting for the moon for their number one kid and if we don't get em, we'll just go with what's on the roster. We have literally THREE talented freshmen there backing up the senior. In 2019, at worst, we'll have a bonafide starter like Weldon who's my pick, and at least one stud backup who i think will be Williams. We'll grab a developmental walk on as the emergency third stringer.

All signs point to MJJ or bust. If they don’t get him it seems they appear confident with Williams and their 2020 targets to not invest a scholly on a QB this year. Not saying I agree but it’s not unheard of. Baga didnt sign a scholarship QB this past cycle.

Also, if they decide they do want a QB, Kentucky is already holding a commit for us.
