Dallas Baptist gave up a lead on their home field tonight. That drops them to danger territory if they lose again before Finals.

Texas A & M won today and they're probably safe now.

I'll put more work into the whole bubble thing if they win tomorrow.

I don't follow college baseball closely, but how did Dallas Baptist get so relevant? I had never even heard of the school.

They had been a power at the NAIA level. They had a pretty good foundation when they hit the NCAA. They hired a young coach who had vision, and by all accounts he does things with integrity and his players love him. They aren't Florida, but they're good enough to be a regional contender pretty much every year.

Powerhouse Pittsburgh grabbed the 12 seed... Suprising. I was told they were much better than that.

Pittsburgh advances to the semi-finals. Just when you thought it was a good idea to be a wise ***.

What seed were they in the ACC out of 14 teams Hockey Man? The answer is 12th seed. You were wrong about Pittsburgh, it's okay bud.

I was wrong? You need something for your amnesia.

"Pittsburgh can't compete with our talent".......

Pittsburgh takes series at Miami, knocks of #1 seed UNC to reach semi-finals of ACC Tournament. But they don't have the talent to compete.

UNC will be a national seed, you think they really cared what happened this week? Their starter was on a pitch count

What is Pittsburghs tourney projection for the tournament after that big win? Their RPI is 113. They went 11-19 in the ACC. They are a bottom dweller.

Do they have a roof on their batting cage?

They actually do. "Along with the construction of Horner Ballpark, batting tunnels were added underneath the stadium for easy access from behind the home dugout. A pitching lab was also constructed underneath Horner Ballpark in 2016 that features three pitching mounds, video cameras to aid with instruction, and an area designated for weight training."

**** cameras and a designated area to lift weights, that's next level ****! I wish Miami had a facility for athletes to do that at that definitely doesn't exist.

Dallas Baptist has a top 25 baseball facility in the country (built in 2013). 27 guys drafted in the last 5 years. It's not a fluke that they are good. It's not because they hired a coach with "integrity" or because "his players love him". They are investing in their program and the development of their players, especially their pitching staff.

I'm wrong for thinking Miami should have better facilities than a school in the Missouri Valley Conference? Or better than a school in the Sun Belt Conference (Coastal Carolina)? Amazing.

They are good because they have a coach skilled at identifying, recruiting, and developing talent. All the things you mentioned Miami has in a similar regard. We record guys in the cages/BP and in bullpens during practice (whether it's done inside an underground lair or outside on our field is largely irrelevant). Trying to act like using video to assess talent is some state of the art foreign concept is hilarious. We also have a baseball specific weight room attached to the Light along with access to the rest of the athletic weight rooms in Hecht. None of this is why we are bad.

Oh geez. He's going full ******.

Texas gets whatever it wants. Yet Texas has missed the tournament three of the last six years. Why? Coaching. Dallas Baptist has one of the best young coaches in the country. You don't automatically become a legitimate program just because you put up new buildings.

No one said that Pitt is a tournament team. I simply laughed at the notion that Pittsburgh can't compete with Miami. It became even funnier when Pittsburgh won the series at Miami. Instead of admitting that you don't understand the extent of college baseball talent in America, you doubled down on your original stupid comment.

What data are we collecting from that video we take? I've seen videos of us hitting BP and throwing bullpens on Twitter, but what are we really analyzing? My guess is nothing. I can promise you DBU is not just taking video with their Iphone. They work directly with the best data driven pitching program in the country (Driveline Baseball). Google them if you've never heard of Driveline, they are changing how pitchers are developed. DBU, Vandy, Oregon State, and UNC all work with them directly just to name a few.

Texas is going to host a regional next weekend. Good try bud. And easy with the ****** comments, that's an offensive term.

Which is a coaching issue, not a facilities issue.

Yes they are, because now they have a new coach. Please tell me you didn't really miss that obvious point.

Why didn't Texas make the post-season in 2012, 2013, and 2016? They have phenomenal facilities.
