Cam Ward drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

It's Time to start buying those Titans jerseys, Canes Nation — Cam Ward is a Titan.

In the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Wednesday night in Green Bay, Ward was picked first overall by the Tennessee Titans. He’s the first Hurricane to snag the No. 1 pick since Russell Maryland did it back in 1991.

The native of West Columbia, Texas, will be remembered in the history of the Hurricanes program for breaking several records by establishing new single-season records for both passing touchdowns and passing yards.

Ward is the first Hurricane player to achieve seven consecutive 300-yard passing games. The 6-foot-2, 223-pound quarterback has thrown for over 300 yards and recorded three touchdowns on nine separate occasions.

With Ward, Miami had one of the best offenses in all of College Football. The Hurricanes ranked among the top nationally in scoring offense with 44.2 points, total offense at 537 yards, yards per play averaging 7.4, and achieved 352 first downs along with a third-down conversion rate of 55.5.

Totally disrespectful how they talked up shedeur before cam was taken. And while Deion is having all these interviews at espn for the past few months, why has nobody had the guts to ask him why his son’s OL was so bad at both schools.

So much disrespect. Love Cam. Program changer!!! Legend. Love to see him represent. Loved watching him every home game this year. Shame that our DC kept him from a championship! Titans just became my new favorite team. Hope they get X later in the draft.

I get it fellas .. Cam should have had more coverage during his walk up… but I look at it like this .. there was no need to talk up or about a SURE THING ! That’s what Tennessee is getting. Cam is not bothered he is ready to get to work!

ESPN treated Cam like trash. Little to no highlights, not airing his interview. I've NEVER seen a #1 overall pick get this kind of treatment. I know we complain about ESPN crapping on Miami, but this was the most obvious example I've ever seen of it actually being true.

Been watching the draft a loooooong time. Cant remember the last time a first round pick didnt get their interview moment, let alone the FIRST PICK OF THE DRAFT.

I don't think they even showed the man's highlights.

I'm not a Titans fan(Native Dallasite) , but I have a new second favorite team, just because Cam is that guy. Plus, that Luv Ya Blue Oilers jersey is so clean.

The fact that they were showing Hunter’s highlights right before Cam was clearly about to be picked…just awful coverage.

NFL Network talked about him all night. Pre-show was half-Cam, half-everyone else.

No need to make excuses for them.
