BYU Transfer WR Keelan Marion Hearing from Miami

According to BYU transfer wide receiver Keelan Marion, he said on Twitter that he has been in contact with the Miami Hurricanes since entering the transfer portal, and they have made him an offer.



The 6-foot, 195-pound wide receiver hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, has also received interest from Arizona State and SMU since he entered the transfer portal yesterday.

Marion recorded 24 catches for 346 yards and scored one touchdown last season. He rushed for 96 yards on 21 attempts. He received All-American recognition for his kick returns, averaging 26.2 yards per return, and racked up two touchdowns on kick returns.



Marion began his journey at UConn, where during his first year, he made 28 catches for 474 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. After spending two seasons at BYU, he is now entering the transfer portal.

This is a weapon that Miami needs. He can be the Ny replacement in the depth chart while also being a true game breaker in the return game. If the plan was always to land 2 WR’s, 1 starter and 1 for depth, this is the depth guy I would like to see added.
 
40 rushes last 2 years…Sturdy build…Maybe some a #4 RB/APB type besides some slot snaps? I mean I'm sure a chunk of those came on end arounds, but he's not just a Smurf slot type.
 
Fair enough....if he's brought in as a specialist and not the only WR addition I think most can live with that.
At the end of the day we need multiple bodies at WR too. Too many gone to the NFL or have portaled out. Too many freshman or guys who haven’t shown anything like Chance.

I think someone like this who won’t break the bank, but has valuable experience against P4 teams and can contribute on ST is a great addition.
