Brooklyndee So we have Wiggins committed right now... You are saying we take 4 in this class at WR. I will count Pope as being in, so we have 2 spots left..who do you think they will be

Pope, wiggins,Williams & nephew gets first choice. That's the class we want & should have.

Brooklyndee do you still think Xavier is gonna decommit soon?

Depends how soon we get his parents on campus. He's invited this weekend but don't know if he'll come. With him he's sold. It's all about his parents getting on board though.

Why are they on board with Alabama?

They live in Alabama and have an incredible personal relationship with *****in, Sark, Napier, and Cristobag. They also know that Alabaga is the far superior choice academically.

Why are they on board with Alabama?

Two reasons. #1 they've been made comfortable with Alabama through a long relationship. Alabama has been recruiting him since ninth grade. Although his recruiter (mario)is gone he sold them on the school. #2 far more important & people still refuse to acknowledge this is golden & staff really burned alot of bridges locally with kids. Took a wait & see approach with everyone & that doesn't work with big time recruits. We need to completely sell everyone on the U as it is now not before.

Best way to do that is to win games. What are your thoughts on CMR in that department? Can he rebuild this program to win 10+ games yearly? Better yet, can he win a championship?

If we truly lead for all these kids, I think the staff has to take 5 and let the attrition play out. This is once in a decade type of talent that has high interest. Your best case class above plus what we got in '16 plus Richards gives us the best receiving group in the conference and possibly the country

How do you guys see wiggins relative to some of these other kids?

Well I think Wiggins is guaranteed a spot as long as he doesn't play any games. Pope is going to be a Cane.
Williams and Hightower have a spot guaranteed for them regardless what happens.
The question is if Thompson, Moore, etc all want in do you also take one of them....and which one. 5 is an absolute max I think, but I can see us getting there if we have enough attrition.

How do you guys see wiggins relative to some of these other kids?

Its not a popular opinion but I question if he has the ability of to get separation at the college level and his change of direction. I like the kid and don't mind him in the class but I think if he went anywhere other than Southridge he'd be getting pushed out.

Yeah cause Rodney Scott or Bentavious Thompson did not get pushed out.

That was before Cooney was hired. Not going strain relationships now with them kids and with Wiggens being close to Pope.

It's not a popular opinion because it's bad and it's wrong

lol. Dude has the highest ceiling of any WR including Pope and you want him pushed out? Dude gets ANDRE JOHNSON comparisons - he just has to get his head on straight and work for it. It's all mental with him.

I know its an ever changing #,.. But about how many available scholies we got to give this year?

Hightower isn't a blazer but has a fantastic catch radius. That's a big deal for a lengthier reciever

Who from Bama has been recruiting him since 9th grade? Cause all those assistants are gone. And I doubt Saban was recruiting a 9th grader while Richt, at UGa, ignored him. If he was good enough as a freshman for Saban to get involved, then he definitely on CMRs radar too. Your theory sounds good, but if you add the context of XW being committed to Alabaga it doesn't add up.

Edit: here's my theory. Alabaga thought they had Pope all sewn up. Then CMR pulled his power move and tipped the scales in our favour. So Saban had* to look around for another elite WR and found that X and his parents were not averse to some Bama Louis Vuitton.

*"had" is of course relative. But Saban truly does stack chips.

Without question. He needs to get back into the groove of things calling plays. But what people don't understand is he doesn't do the game plan & the rest all by himself. Just like with dumbo his oc & offensive quality control all have input into the game plan. We're gonna be just fine.

Only way we take Elijah is if quite a few kids play games. As of now he has like 5 kids ahead of him. His size is his main factors against him.
