Miami football's recruiting is heating up. The Hurricanes received another commitment from Camdin Portis.
On Sunday night, four-star cornerback Camdin Portis announced his commitment to the University of Miami. The 6-foot-0, 165-pound product of Charlotte, NC chose the ‘Canes over the likes of Boston College, Colorado, Florida, and many other schools.
Camden becomes the 3rd commit for Miami in this cycle, a group that ranks 21st in the nation. And yes, this is the son of former Hurricane great Clinton Portis.
According to 247Sports they rank him as the No. 25 best cornerback in the 2026 cycle and the No. 291 player in the country.
At Myers Park High School, he recorded 18 tackles, 2 interceptions, and a forced fumble. Portis was just recently at the Miami versus Florida State game yesterday and committed a day after.

“I watched Miami growing up and always wanted to go to Miami,” Portis told On3. “It is a beautiful place and a great school with a lot of tradition. Miami has had a lot of great players play there and it is on its way back up.”
