If that was me and I loved the Canes as much as he indicates...BOOM...commit.

Can we stop this, please?

Do you not find it frustrating when kids talk about the U being their dream school, their home town school then not committing when the offer comes in. "Aw yeah man I'm a Miami kid. I love the U I'm gonna represent the 305......at Alabama".

GTFO.

Is Berrios committed anywhere? No so stfu. It's not your decision it's the kids let them live with it. They make the wrong decision it's on them, not for a bunch of fans not to appreciate the talent we got while *****ing about kids that went elsewhere.

No, I do not find it frustrating.

how many great player for miami committed on the spot? you have to remember we are FANS of course we want every dude we offer but some of you act like its your first day following recruiting

Their decision may also be the biggest decision they ever had to make, which eventually will shape their future/football career. How many here can actually relate to their exact situation?

The staff didn't offer Berrios right away. They stepped back, took their time and evaluated the situation. Berrios is smart to do the same.

I feel like soooooo many local politics are in play here. I love this cat Berrios , but slot WR in south fl are everywhere. I don't know where the staff is on their evaluations, but offering Berrios will only mud the local scene for UM. If I was Berrios I would not wait too long.

Last night I was not sure if we should go to Quality Meats or Strip House, we made the right call but the pressure was unbearable and the consequences were dire.

At this point, who cares. If Patten commits on Monday, he'll be the 14th from Florida and 9th or 10th locally. People can say what they want.

The correct analogy would be that you've been dying to go to Quality Meats all your life and they've just offered you a lifetime pass.

Do you step back and still consider Strip House? I wouldn't.

We already offered the kid too, and no backlash. Furthermore, none of the coaches that would usually say anything (Genron) can really talk because the kid went to the most elite camp in the nation & showed out. ****, some of these coaches bash miami even when they pick up a local kid. You can't make decisions based off a backlash of a couple tweets. That's just common sense

But what if you make nightmares when eating at Quality Meats and you sleep like a baby when eating Strip House... Maybe quality Meats is where you wanted to go, but what if it's not the best fit for your stomach?

I know a lot of schools like to wait when offering an out if state camper. It's very tempting to offer off of a camp performance for someone who you haven't been around as much.

I know they’ve taken a few quarterbacks, but regardless he’s a great one and I don’t see anyone beating him out in OUR class.”

Well he's already talking as if he's in, however I know that's just looking too far into it ha. He from raleigh, and I went to NC State myself.. So unless he finds out something about the local school that I didn't, I don't think there's any way he's not a cane next February

I'm glad they finally offered Berrios. He is a talented kid to say the least. I could care less what anyone thinks about the offer and hopefully his commit to the U. He is a playmaker and that's what we need. Doesn't matter where he's from.

Add in the fact that he's young and still figuring things out about who he is, and it's pretty clear it's in his best interests to be patient. Yeah as a fan I'd like the auto-commit, but as a human being, I appreciate him doing his due diligence, so to speak.

Some of these morons on here obviously don't have children and haven't thought of what goes into a college selection, or maybe they do have kids, and treat the college process as they seem to treat it on here...which is all the more frightening

Berrios probably hasn't done a serious evaluation of UM as a school until he got an offer from them. So now, even though he clearly loves the Canes, he needs to check out the details before he pulls the trigger.

Truth.

Some of you jamokes should realize this isn't like the time you had to choose between DeVry and University of Phoenix. This is the real deal.
