UM has officially signed one of the top safeties in the 2026 class with Kansas native JJ Dunnigan Jr.
The top-100 player was committed to Kansas originally, before decommitting just a few weeks ago as Miami shot up right to the top of his list.
At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Dunnigan is an extremely instinctive safety who flies around the field making plays.
He’s got plus range and pairs his track speed with physicality down field, seeking contact.
In addition, Dunnigan is extremely versatile. He’s played across multiple positions in the secondary and makes plays as a receiver and punt returner.
