Article: Lawrence Cager commits to Miami (Video)

Miami’s recruiting class got a boost today with 4-star WR Lawrence Cager committing to the Canes during the 2nd quarter of the U.S. Army All-American Game on NBC.

Cager is a big-bodied receiver from Towson, MD, who has tremendous body control and ability to snag the ball at its highest point.

Cager chose Miami over Alabama, but I am told it is still likely he visits ‘Bama. He is scheduled to visit Miami on the weekend of January 26th.

I will have a full interview with Cager up later this week, so stay tuned for that.

I love how how the anti Miami guys can spin positive news against the program. There is obviously a lot moving the wrong direction, but this isnt one of them.

He was going to pick Bama after Daylon decommitted but his parents wanted him to go somewhere else so at the end of it we win out I assume..

Nope. It is about $$$$ and kid recognized that Brad is going to make WRs some money. NFL will be watching Kaaya next tow years. If you are catching the passes they will see you too. Bama makes one WR every 3 years big money; Brad will be making 3 WRs money every year on draft day. Kid is gold. Kaaya for HC AND Presietn of THE U.

Mike Bakas said he heard that both Nick Saban and Urban Meyer rejected his commitment.

Couldn't find any other thread but just find it interesting... He changed positions to TE now.

Was just watching some preseason highlights and see he scored a TD.

Would've been a smart move to do in college as well.
