Very poor timing. But this the double edged sword of actually having a competent staff, but the university being unwilling or unable to pay market value to keep them together.

Lame attempt to blame the university for a gator doing what a gator does. On top of that, all programs lose corches to the NFL.

And a more pathetic attempt to pass the entire situation off on his college affiliation, then follow it up with actual plausible logic. If all programs have this happen, then it isn't just Gator thing is it?

And if you think this university pays market value for what we think the level of this program should be, then your sadly mistaken.

Fisch's best days are ahead of him so it would have been nice to see him and Morris together another season, but I think we all knew he wouldn't last long here. Congrats to him.

This...

It has nothing to do with your dumbass "market value" bull**** comment. If a coach that just came from the NFL has an opportunity to take a huge promotion as an OC back in the league he takes it everytime.

More caneisms, please post how much we pay OCs. Provide sources.

Fugg gators. And this had nothing to do with pay. Carry on though with the lame anti-UM rhetoric.

This is probably better for Baby Jesus, no? Doesn't have to learn a new playbook after next year now

**** is disrespectful on the part of Fisch. Had he left at the end of the season, everything would have been fine. Had he left after signing day, everything would have been fine. But instead, the dude leaves Golden high and dry less than two weeks before signing day, in a year where a lack of turnover among our coaches has been a major selling point of the program. He knew all this ****, and instead of accepting the promotion and keeping it under wraps for a couple weeks (communicating his acceptance of it to both Golden and the Jags organization, of course), he just had to leave right now.

IMO, **** him. What a douchebag.

He had to get to Jax to help them prepare for the playoffs. Super Bowl is in a couple weeks and they need an OC for that game. What would you expect from a filthy rat gator? He got the chance to stick a shiv in UM's back, and he took it.

The problem with him leaving now is the timing. And more than just how it might effect recruiting as it enters the stretch run.

Lots of staffs have filled out at this point, it might be difficult to find a top-notch replacement for a school that can't pay at (or near) top dollar.

This hurts, and might hurt a lot worse if Golden has to make another Kehoe hire to fill the void.

But seriously, the timing may be bad, but considering how stacked this offense is, I don't think Golden is going to have any trouble finding a replacement. Hopefully a college guy who is committed to staying.

And I'm sure he's known about this for a while so the recruiting blow won't be that bad.

Big loss and terrible timing. Anyone who questioned his talent and ability was foolish.

Don't think he is ready for a NFL OC gig though.

Oregon OC Mark Helfrich might be up for grabs. Couldn't even handle the fapping I'd subject myself to should that ever happen.

I got to agree with you. We ran a very close offense sometimes during the season. I think Morris could handle it, I'm not sure on Olsen if he has the legs to do it or is he more of a pocket QB.
