Good point. I don't know that much about the schools down there--haven't lived there for centuries--but BTW seems to produce a good number of top prospects. We don't want to burn our bridges there, and we don't want to **** off the other kids, like MT and the Thomas kid coming out next year. Not wise.
Who the **** said get on our knees for ice? Who even defended him? Why can't you comprehend the concept of not going against the grain of what the staff is trying to accomplish in these last days until LOI? If that means sacrificing your little rant to not hurt the U is that too much to ask? Or are you in it for a different reason?
And as for BTW... right, Miami doesn't need overtown kids. LOL. Maybe do a little research into what's changed with the HS scene over the last decade or so. Educate yourself. Regardless of its previous history as an old HS and then middle school, BTW is new on the scene as a HS, and started out 2A in 1999 iirc. Its basically becoming what it is as we speak, a bigger and bigger program. Miami without OT isn't Miami. Lots of past Canes from other schools would be BTW kids today. Do a little research.
Again, the point isn't to support or defend Ice, or do as I say, its to ******* open your eyes and ears and not **** on what the staff is doing now. And yeah, sadly, these days pathetic internet ****tards do seem to have an affect on the process due to social networking, and boards, etc. I feel bad for the coaches. They have to overcome their own fan bases.
People want to try to twist this into some bomb thing or act like a ******* school yard imbecile. Be my guest. I have precisely zero ***** to give. Just don't do anything to collectively even affect one kid by 1% to the negative. Its all about the U. Not your attack dog rants.

Stop acting like you have some special sort of insight into what the goal and mission statement of the program is when you have absolutely NO idea.
1) You're absolutely right. Miami doesn't need OT kids. Miami needs hungry, disciplined, and explosive athletes. It just so happens, that many of the hungry Hurrcane players in the past have been from Overtown and if they happen to be from Overtown, so be it. If they are in Nigeria, that's fine as well. Tidewater Area in Virginia, I'll take them too. If they are entitled babies from Liberty City, like Marcus Forston who would rather not work hard, then I prefer that we look in a different direction. Contrary to your belief, there are guys from the Overtown area that haven't been/aren't being/will never be recruited by the University of Miami. You sound like Uncle Luke
2) I am standing in the way of NOTHING. What have I said that is off base? How have I gone against the staff? I'm talking about Ice Harris and the staff has usurped his authority and gone around him to speak to the kids and their families. How is what I've said putting a road block between the University of Miami and progress?
3) What does Ice Harris have to do with Booker T? Judging by Kirkland retweeting the fact that his coach flew off the handle before he even had a shred of evidence, I would say that there are more than likely others who aren't too thrilled with Ice Harris and if they are thrilled with Ice Harris, I don't want them at Miami in the first place. I'm not saying F the area. I'm saying F Ice Harris. It's people like YOU that inflate these dudes ego's to the point that they think they ARE Overtown and Luke Campbell IS Liberty City. Nah brah, Overtown is bigger than Ice Harris and Liberty City is bigger than Luther Campbell. Luke has already found that out by getting stiff armed when we recruited a kid who was on the team he was coaching this year.

There hasn't been one time where I said stop recruiting the Overtown area, that was some strawman you built once you realized your other argument was pretty stupid, invalid, and pointless. Like I said 2 days ago, I was curious to see if Ice Harry brigade would come here and apologize if they were proved wrong... how naive I am.
After all the immature, childish and unfair treatment they gave to Miami and our coaching staff(read Kirkland family statment) the minimum I would expect of decent people, would be an apology in the same public platforms were they did it wrong. Well, at least that's what I think men of character have to do...
But by the posts of his brigade here in the forum, and the delay of Harris to at least recognize he was wrong, I think Kirkland retwitt is spot on...
Kid wanted to play the hat game and have his moment. My guess is he gave a silent commit. Seems like a wasted effort to go through all of this so he can have the Miami hat on his table just to toss aside.
