Not holding my breath. I don't think we need him very badly.

Funny how we read our boards and mentally put a kid in our class only to find out once someone actually talks to him that we are nothing more then in a lottery with some serious players.

Define "we".
Not me.
But I get your point with some folks on this board who make bad assumptions.

Disagree.
There is always a need to recruit legit DTs.
Perennial top5 programs have them flowing into their roster every year.
Plus, it seems like Jon Ford is talking to Kentucky, so who knows if he has issues with grades, etc.

Different what we have been told tbh..
Also to dump on more bad news. Josh falo is not visiting Miami next month

Not necessarily bad news if he was planning to fly in for a mini-vacation.

I know he mentions Miami by name, but other than that and a visit to see him by coaches how the heck did people connect the dots that this kid was even considering Miami? That article sums up a kid who has about 1% interest in Miami.

more bad news that josh falo isn't visiting? you take that as more bad news? that's not bad news. if you got worked up on the kid possibly signing with UM, that's on you.

Doesn't sound good at all, and fails to coincide with what we had been hearing, but totally disagree we don't need him (or someone like him) badly. The absolute opposite is true:

If Mcintosh, Norton and Willis all leave next year, we are left very thin for the following year. As in, whether it's this guy or another, the player will likely need to take snaps as a RS Frosh or true Sophomore. Then we're back at the same issue of being "too young" or "inexperienced."

This is rich. 1/2 of CIS says pass on the kid because he's not high enough on Miami. Other 1/2 will will then complain the staff didn't go hard enough. If he commits to Miami, both halves will claim he's not that good anyway and there was some other kid the staff should have gotten.

Just get him on campus and some 1 on 1 time with Kool in the film room.

If this kid picks the dump fire at Tennessee or Pedo state over Coach Kool, something seriously wrong with him

I would rbetter said, "something is seriously wrong with the University of Miami". The crap of not winning is not longer valid.

What are you talking about? Seems like you are creating problems out of thin air. One poster (rok, a known troll, of all people) said we don't need him. Plenty of people disagreed. Most posters just see the writing on the wall - we have a lot of ground to make up in a relatively short amount of time. I don't see any complaints about the staff not going hard enough. Everyone thinks the kid is talented.

We need to sign kids, not just recruit them hard

The reason I don't think we need him is because there will be other DTs that we'll recruit much harder next cycle. We'll be perfectly fine in 2017 along the DL.

I'm Concerned about our recruiters on this staff right now tbqh. Don't like missing out on all of these guys we seem to target

Pete has been saying for the last few weeks or so that we were in a good spot to land him.

If you're just now worrying you're late to the party.

Rok, the problem is those guys will then have to play as True Frosh. That's a really, really tough task for any DT.
