On Friday night, the 6-foot-5, 245-pound five-star edge rusher announced on social media that he is down to six finalist; Miami, Washington, Ohio State, Auburn, Oklahoma, and the Florida Gators. George currently holds 34 total offers including Arizona, Arizona State, California, Georgia, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Maryland, among others.
George is highly regarded as one of the nations best 2028 prospects, as he is ranked as the No. 6 player in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, No. 2 edge rusher, and the No. 1 player coming out of Arizona.
Jalanie plays his high school football at Desert Edge High School, where he led his squad to an 11-1 record and the No. 7 ranking in the state of Arizona, according to MaxPreps. This past season, he racked up 54 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. During his freshman season, he totaled 63 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble. According to the 247Sports scouting director, he has high upside with all-conference and NFL potential. He is not one to bail on plays and will clean up the trash on the field.
He recently started taking unofficial visits, making trips to Ole Miss and Auburn, with Ole Miss being cut from his list of finalists. He hasn’t set up a visit to Miami just yet, but is expected to happen in the near future.
