Four-star wide receiver Tyran Evans, who recently visited Miami this month, has decommitted from Tennessee and is now back on the market for the Hurricanes.
Evans announced his decommitment from Tennessee yesterday afternoon and has already been projected to join Miami, according to 247Sports and On3.
Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 200 pounds, Evans hails from William Amos Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 81 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the No. 23 prospect in North Carolina.
In recent weeks, he took official visits to Kentucky (May 30), NC State (June 6), and Miami (June 13). His decision to decommit followed his Miami visit and came before a planned official visit to Tennessee.
Sebastian Font spoke with him this past weekend about how he envisions being utilized in the offense:
“They want me to be a make-a-play type of guy, whether that’s on a deep route or a comeback,” said Tyran. “They mentioned that my size would intimidate defenders, making them wary of my deep routes, so the short routes would always be available.”
During his junior season, he recorded 36 catches for 980 yards and 14 touchdowns at Hough High in Cornelius, North Carolina.
