Miami has secured a commitment from another 2025 prospect. Small forward Treyvon Maddox announced Sunday that he is headed to Coral Gables.

The 6-foot-6 wing from Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida, is a strong addition to Miami's small forward group, which already includes five-star Shelton Henderson and European prospect Timotej Malovec.

Maddox is currently ranked No. 120 nationally in the Class of 2025, No. 32 among small forwards, and No. 21 in the state of Florida.

Earlier this year, Maddox was granted his release from his National Letter of Intent to Stephen F. Austin and opted to stay closer to home by joining the Hurricanes.

He chose Miami over offers from Stephen F. Austin, Boston College, East Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, and several others.

With Maddox on board, Miami now holds the No. 17 overall class in the 2025 cycle, according to 247Sports.

Welcome to the family, Maddox!

Treyvon Maddox is a nice pick-up as a late addition to the 2025 signing class. Trey is originally from Columbia, SC and was supposed to be heading to OTE but ended up transferring to Oak Ridge for his senior year of high school. Needs some fine tuning, but I like his game. Athletic and can do a little bit of everything. Not an elite ball-handler, passer or shooter, but solid. He has very good positional size and length. Needs to add some muscle, but that's usually the case with most high school guys heading into college. Not sure how much he'll play as a freshman, but do think he's got potential.
