3-star 2026 DB Kosci Barnes Will Visit Miami This Week

The coaching staff for Miami has just concluded the second official visit week of June, and now they are focusing on this week as newly recruited three-star defensive back Kosci Barnes has scheduled a visit to Miami.



Barnes, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound athlete from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, N.C., is ranked as the No. 63 cornerback in the country by 247Sports.

He recently finished a visit to South Carolina and is expected to visit Miami this week. Following his Miami visit, he plans to head to Kentucky for an official visit during the weekend of June 20. According to 247Sports, Barnes aims to make a mid-summer commitment.

Barnes holds offers from Miami, Louisville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, South Carolina, Rutgers, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Michigan State, FIU, James Madison, Liberty, Marshall, Old Dominion, and several others.

This past season at Grimsley, Barnes accumulated a total of 55 tackles, three interceptions, and six of those tackles were for a loss.

Some solid DB schools in there, SC in particular always has a few super long corners on the roster, if they’re in on him that’s a nice sign.
