The funny thing is for someone who loved the U he didn’t show it in his efforts or his passion wasn’t there when recruiting or coaching smh oh well

He was the diet coke version of the team: the taste without the caffeine (hard work or substance). Swagger as a fantasy through chains, crashing opposing team camps ..... he was the rich kid who fantasized about a world he never knew he could be part of because he himself lacked the substance, hard work, and general fortitude to understand the process or generalities of that world.

Instead, we got slip and slides and skee ball, ticket chains. He was the Reagan era south Florida rich kid who fantasized about belonging to the inner city. But, only knew of it through video games and newspaper articles about breaking penalty records/while winning and 'angering the establishment'.

Basically, we had a 80/90s yuppie running our program.

****. This is the best breakdown of Manny I’ve ever seen. Kudos.

This kid must be seriously interested in being a Cane to travel to Miami on his own a second time. 247 doesn't even list us in his top schools. Who's his recruiter?
It’s great he’s showing genuine interest in Miami, but I doubt it’s costing him or his family one red cent to get him on campus.

Mario and staff doing a great job identifying, evaluating and getting top talent on visits. Kuddos again

If Cristobal ends up seeing this kid while he’s here, then no matter what he does at UM he will have my respect. Win or lose. But to have to deal with the death of your mother and still take the time to recruit shows a level of dedication and passion for the program that can ONLY be respected.
