I have no problem with dawson...I'm just not sure he's needed, I like Tim Burns better and I don't know how many 155 lb corners you can take.
He doesn't look the weight he is listed on 247. I think he is closer to the weight ESPN has him listed at. Which is 170.

This is true. Every time an announcer mentions "Miami speed" I chuckle. We ain't had proper team speed in years.

You not the only one, reminds of that imbecile trying to holla out **** like he knows something and didnt know WTF he was talking about during the Fsu game where he said something like "myron rolle, the brother of antrelle rolle, man GTFOH!

Spoke to Ivins at UA check in:

Says Miami and Louisville have done the best job of recruiting. ‘Canes like him on defense. Cardinals like him on offense. Auburn one of the news schools that has offered that he likes. Claims he weighed 160 this morning.

Maybe he has more potential as a cb? Clarke dominated on the field offensively and we still got him as a cb.
UM grabbed Clarke, because UM, for some odd reason, cannot recruit prospects that play majority DB in high school and have speed. Clarke is a clear project and should not be the strategy for recruiting DBs going forward.

that wasnt my point. He could have easily go to another school and play offense. We're not even sure if he's high on Miami board but doesn't mean they're dumbass for recruiting him as a CB.

I'm not saying UM is stupid because they are recruiting at CB and it will lower are chances of getting, I'm saying UM is stupid because the dude is clearly a WR at the next level but for some odd reason they want to recruit him as a DB because he has speed. UM could easily recruit a player who majority plays DB in high school and has speed as well.

Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh High School CB Tarvarish Dawson lists 21 scholarship offers, including Miami.

Where do the Canes fit in?

“They’re in the top, top 5,” Dawson said.

He declines to name the other schools he’s putting in his top five, but he does say the Canes are among his favorites “because of all the DBs that have made it out of there to the NFL. I feel I can fit in there.”

He says UM is pushing hard with “all the coaches recruiting me, the DB coach, head coach - they just want me to come visit, come with my family.”

Dawson is “trying” to visit UM this spring and is targeting a summer decision.

He’s also looking to take trips to Auburn, South Carolina and Louisville this spring.

Could Miami win out?

“They can,” Dawson said. “And they’ve already shown me it’ s like family there, that they will make me the best that I can be.

“Miami’s been recruiting me since my sophomore year, have been recruiting me hard.”

...UM could easily recruit a player who majority plays DB in high school and has speed as well.

Like who?

Tyson Campbell? Tyrique? Surtain?

The guys that are defensive backs, that are super good in high school and have speed, you know where they end up going.

I mean I don’t know if that’s their strategy, but 4-5 star dBs - you know how they get recruited and who gets them and why. So maybe go for guys that are a little bit under the radar but have huge potential?

Based on him saying we've been recruiting him hard for awhile they need to close simply to substantiate the energy invested in his recruitment. Glad multiple coaches are on him too considering Rumph's well known closing skills.

This gotta to be the dumbest post 😂😂😂. So ur telling me that the only DBs with speed are elite DBs that go to the best schools. For you to claim that we have to settle for slow DBs, is just stupid. There are plenty of DBs out there with speed that are not 5 high 4 stars. With that being said, stop trying to act like many only attracts 3 star scrubs, becuase they do not if they recruit right they can get some real good talent, Avantae Williams is a great example.

I was proposing a rationale for this one player and comparing to the other extreme, top-of-the-line defensive backs. Since that got you all inflamed, I suggest you stick a tampon back up your *** and don’t respond

It was a dumb post amd you bringing up the top of the line DBs from 2018 when we are specifically talking about the 2021 class was irrelevant and provided 0 rationality.

I forgot there was a rule to only use players from the same year in a comparison.

Thanks for clarifying that, douche nozzle

I think Buchanon was a WR at Lehigh until Butch's staff had him try CB at a camp.

It depends on how well the coaches can project the future position of the kids.

Butch's staff was obviously quite good in a lot of ways.

We'll see.

But UM's dumbass wants him at CB 😂😂😂.
