Davante Davis is my fav cb in SOUTH FLORIDA....get at me if you have a problem.

I forgot our offers are "gold" around this time of year

Maybe he'll get an offer 2 weeks after signing day once everybody else disses us.

Maybe he'll get one tomorrow and diss us like plenty of his south Florida brethren do anyway? You offer talented kids and recruit them no matter what. I understand that.

It is funny though that anytime Miami goes out of state everyone looks at whether the powers in-state have offered the kid and if not become skeptical about the offer. What do the state schools know about the kid that we don't? Well, neither FSU,UF or UM have offered this kid yet while OOS schools are jumping all over him. Whats the deal?

Thats the norm, even though I like this kid and many others do also he's not the end all be all of dbs in this class. He's one of the really talented kids who may have to camp to get the offer. Nothing is wrong with that and if we offer in the summer that shouldnt eliminate us and if it does did we have a great chance to begin with?

Bama offered

I know...... the OOS will always offer early I mean he has the talent and the great size so these offers are no surprise at all. Basically look at that other 6'2 "cb" last year who got offers like crazy because of his size and talent, that tells you that this was going to happen. Now I think UM should've offered earlier too but if they need to see more then let him camp out like other studs had to do

We'll see how long his name is tied to Bama, doubt much will come from this "offer".

he, like 98% of soflo kids would have to camp to get a committable from Bama

I hated when people say, they need to see "more of him" before an offer. its inexcusable. Your team is based in Miami. Which is a City not a state.

This City is probably the most highly recruited City in the nation. you can go to all high schools on one tank of gas.

Why don't you know every single prospect from eight graders to Seniors in your own city. I will never understand that.

they recruited Ermon Lane at that school. they should have seen him on film. you don't just watch one prospect you watch all. I will never get that.

this shows me that they don't have relationships down here.

if you had a relationship a coach would have came and told you about a prospect long before anyone else comes in.

I really dont u derstand what takes Miami so long to offer local kids....

Not that it matters now because apparently he got the offer, but I'm pretty sure Barrow went to Homestead. So I don't think its a question of a relationship with the school. Maybe, just maybe they were waiting on something else to evaluate besides football talent. I don't really know. Pretty sure their relationships or proximity let them know about Demetrius Jackson before any school except the one that had Shannon on its staff.

Maybe Davis was on Miami's radar, but He's just not in the top 5 on their recruiting board for the position. IMO, these schools need to be a lil' more forthright, and these kids need to do their due diligence as far as where they stand with the school...it goes both ways.

It's like with the Holcy kid...He committed, found out He wasn't atop UM's board - although they told Him they offered too many WRs -, and He voiced His displeasure to the newspaper. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
