I put out a 2014 watch list over the summer, but wanted to release a more streamlined list with updated notes and new names.
QB
Quinton "Winky" Flowers (Jackson)- Some have compared Flowers play to Anquan Boldin in high school. Boldin played quarterback at Pahokee and Flowers is comparable to him physically. He has the build from the quarterback spot to play receiver down the line and shows incredible ability with the ball in his hands. He probably projects as a receiver at the next level and would be absolutely dynamic there in my opinion. Miami is the favorite if offered. He is a game-changer and would be a grew pick-up.

Treon Harris (Booker T)-We have talked about Harris a lot lately and a lot of discussion has been about the position he will play in college. As he told Tito Benach in a story yesterday, he wants to play QB. Harris holds a Canes offer right now and is a major key to getting Matthew Thomas. Treon is the leader of that Booker T squad and players such as Matthew Thomas, Chad Thomas, Denver Kirkland, and Nigel Patten would all be affected by Harris if Miami could push for an early commitment from him. His situation will be interesting to track.

Chase Litton (Wharton)- Litton still has not received his coveted Miami offer and word is that he has become frustrated about it. LSU, Georgia, and Vandy are some early favorites.

Joseph Yearby (Central)- The FSU commitment is solid to the 'Noles and don't look for anything to change with him.

Dalvin Cook (Central)- The Clemson commit pulled the trigger on the Tigers early in the summer, but I have heard that he will definitely listen to Miami. The 'Canes are still actively recruiting him and I wouldn't be surprised to see him wind up in this class. Another factor in Miami's favor is his teammate Trevor Darling being in his ear about the 'Canes.

Sony Michel (American Heritage Plantation)-It seems like we have been talking about Sony for 5 years and his senior year is finally approaching. Despite rumors that FSU leads, Miami is still the team to beat. The thing keeping FSU in it is his relationship with RB coach Eddie Gran. Still, the smart money is the the 'Canes.

Ermon Lane (Homestead)- Lane loves the allure of the SEC, so Alabama is in the conversation, but I fully expect him to wind up at Miami at this point. He is extremely close to Herb Waters and Ricardo Williams, as well as his family ties with coach Barrow. Lane would give Kevin Olsen a dynamic target.

Tyre Brady (Alief Taylor (Tx.))- The former South Dade receiver moved to Texas over the Summer and is playing at powerhouse program, Alief Taylor High School. Brady is planning on coming down to Miami during the season and wants to visit for a game. He is a 4-star talent and coach McDonald really likes his ability. According to Brady, the staff will offer him once he sends them his game film from the first half of the season. Brady told me that the following schools have contacted him since September 1st: Ohio State, Miami, Alabama, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, and Louisville.
Johnnie Dixon (Dwyer)- As is normally the case with Dwyer kids, UF is rumored to be in good shape here. Dixon does have legitimate Miami interest, but the Gators are the team to beat right now.

Adly Enoicy (Atlantic Delray)- Some , including myself, see Enoicy as a pass-catching tight end at the next level. He uses his body very well and has great hands. Miami has a good shot here, as he is friends with current commit Keith Bryant. Miami was one of the first schools to contact him on September 1st.

Jacob McCrary (Coral Reef)- FSU commit that Miami hasn't really shown much interest in yet. The staff wanted him to camp over the summer, but he never did so that set him back in regards to an offer. Seems solid with the Noles, but there is enough talent at receiver that Miami is targeting that he wouldn't be a huge loss.

Corey Holmes (St. Thomas Aquinas)- I have done a couple stories on Holmes and he seems like a very smart kid with high Miami interest. He has expressed a heavy interest in Michigan as well and he visited Ann Arbor in the summer. Good size and nice fluidity for the STA player.

KC McDermott (Palm Beach Central)-The offensive line could be a huge strength in this class, and KC McDermott could be a huge part of that. The brother of current Miami center, Shane, the younger McDermott is a big Miami lean right now and the 'Canes are considered the favorite right now. Most project him at tackle in college. He is a high 4-star.

Nick Linder (St. Thomas Aquinas)- The brother of 'Canes Guard Brandon Linder, Nick has really burst onto the scene this season. He looked good in the game that I saw him against Columbus. He needs to add some size to truly be considered Miami-caliber, but he has the bloodlines and if he continue to perform well at a program like STA, the attention will come.
Garrett Brumfield (University Lab (La.))- Brumfield is another highly-rated 4-star level prospect. While most would dismiss the possibility of him getting out of Louisiana, he is VERY close to Tim Williams and a source tells me that Miami will have a great chance with Brumfield if they land Williams. A class of McDermott, Darling, and Brumfield would be incredible.
