His eyebrow is great, his sources are awful.

I think he goes 0 for 6.

No offense to you Pete, but that's very disconcerting. He "learned" under Saban. Great. So did a lot of other bad coaches.

They didn't need relationships because the program was already on top.... Now it's different.

Look what happened with Golden

Jesus christ golden didn't fail bc of his relationships and recruiting ability. He was a renowned recruiter. He failed bc HE CAN'T COACH WORTH A ****.

The issue on this team is not talent and it hasn't been talent. We have more players in the NFL from Randy and Goldens tenure THAN ANY OTHER TEAM not named LSU.

Get a coach who can win, and you don't need relationships.

For fvcks sake Howard wasn't even involved in college at all and he built this **** from nothing. People like you are why we ended up with Randy and Golden in the first place, b/c morons get caught up in "recruiting" and "being cool with south florida coaches".

Oh ok ... so we had plenty of depth at every position and let Studs get away to FSU, OSU, and the whole SEC ....

It was a perfect storm of **** for Golden .. He was an average recruiter who was behind in recruiting So Florida and a ****** coach...

Not this BVLL**** again about learning from Saban.
Why is something so stupid being considered.
Might as well go after Bobby Williams! He has been with Saban the longest and has the same HC experience as Mario.

**Opinion on Mario Cristobal is mixed. Some believe that he has learned under Saban, but others seem cautious because of his reputation of being hard to get along with.

HOw about the fact that he is a ****ty coach?

We are doomed, its going to be a horrible hire.

Cristobal having even one supporter among our decision makers is baffling and terrifying. His coaching resume is disgraceful. He's not even worthy of being our OC, but there's mixed opinion about him being our next head coach after three straight program-crippling hires? Not to mention that he'd retain James Coley, which is a dealbreaker for any possible candidate.

I f***ing despise this administration.

Again, no school outside of LSU has more NFL players than Miami. We had seven kids drafted last year. You are a total clueless moron who doesn't deserve to root for this once great program if you think the issue was recruiting. The issue is COACHING.

The reason Al stopped landing So Fla studs is b/c no one wants to play for a piece of trash coach who gets blown out in every big game. Frankly, the fact that ANY decent player wanted to play for him after 4 years of horrible results is a miracle.

Are you really surprised that Cook chose FSU over Miami when FSU had just won the national title while we got curb stomped by a Big East team in some garbage bowl?? Or that Ridley went to Bama, whose coach has FOUR ******* rings, while we went 6-7? Do you people think there is some magic recruiting ability that if only we had it, all the kids would come here even if we went 1-10 and our rivals won the title every year?

Let me ask you, why wasn't Nick Saban owning the world in recruiting at Mich State? Could it be that it's b/c Mich State is a lesser brand, in a freezing state with little instate talent, and he wasn't killing it yet? Or is it that he didnt learn the magic recruiting language yet?

Pete's sources are a bit off. Tonight it was reported that UM will be 'casting a wide net' in the search for a new HC. It ain't going to be some OL coach from timbucktoo.

It's crazy that with as little as our BOT cares about our football program, they can be so adamant that we not hire Butch. You'd think the fact that he would be cheap would elevate him to the top of their lists.

Gotta love the internet tough guys....

I say he's a ****** coach and average recruiter... And you give a diatribe why he's a ****** coach

Ok you win...

Great scoop on Al getting fired, Pete. Not hiring Butch is to far fetched to believe but just in case we need to fly the planes again "Butch or these keep flying"

Don't leave out every game

Somebody tell me why not on Doc Holliday? He's been successful at Marshall, and had some exciting offenses and solid defenses on his teams for a few years, though they have taken a step back statistically this year. All I know specifically about him is that he is a good recruiter, and I think I remember him recruiting S Fla specifically for West Virginia. Clearly he's continued recruiting Fla. well for Marshall. Does he have baggage, or maybe just isn't the type of guy who can be the face of a major program? Outside of Pete's mention above I haven't heard his name talked about at all.

Somebody please tell me why people think Mario has learned something while at Alabama that suddenly makes him a viable HC. What is it that he supposedly learned, and what makes them believe he learned it?
