He actually played prior to those Fiesta Bowl, Bortle years. My point was and is….They have done good work there over the last 10-15 years and produced NFL talent and top bowl game results. It should be a reminder of what good coaching can do with FL talent when it’s focused, has identity and is supported. This state has nasty good talent. When the coaching and style of play aligns, it can be unstoppable.Kevin Smith didn't play in the that Fiesta Bwl...he came later
Tell them to join a real conference all these yrs...and quit running from UF...UM (to a degree) and FSU....He actually played prior to those Fiesta Bowl, Bortle years. Each school in this state has seen what works to make each school elite level successful. Each school has done it under different coaches. Miami, UF, FSU, UCF…only USF has lagged in relative terms and they too have had their positive national moments.
Never do that.Good for Nebraska fans I was starting to feel bad for them
Manny was our equivalent bottom to Nebraska, but I honestly think the Scott Frost experiment was even more of a bust than Manny if that's possible.Sooo Manny wasn’t our bottom? Jus asking
More was expected from FrostManny was our equivalent bottom to Nebraska, but I honestly think the Scott Frost experiment was even more of a bust than Manny if that's possible.
He would crash and burn there, I can’t think of a worse cultural and stylistic fit then Nebraska and urban. Not to mention that urban Meyer only goes to places where he knows he can win and where he knows are set up to win. He does NOT build programs. His only “leap” was to the NFL and it was a because he had to be someone to truly build something. His success points only last a few years, after that it all breaks down on himIf they’re smart, they’ll throw everything they have at urban.
Hopefully Nebraska come and take Rhule from the Panthers.

LOL. Uhhh why dont you sit Frost in a room and say you'll either be let go Oct 1 for 7.5M or let go now at a buy-out of 9M. Pick?
Save yourself ~6M. And if he's so insanely stubborn he wants to coach until Oct 1 while getting destroyed the next few weeks (Oklahoma next week), you remind him he will only further ruin his Nebraska legacy and future coaching career. And let him.
Not that hard to negotiate. What a joke Nebraska is. AD should be fired for this alone.
Win and they come, see Tuscaloosa AlabamaI’m of the belief that Nebraska is never coming back. It’s too hard to recruit in Lincoln, especially when you have Michigan, OSU, and Penn State breathing down your neck. I think they could land a good coach and be a Top 25-20 team year to year, but they don’t have what it takes to attract the talent they need to be elite.
Different circumstances. For one, its not a complete pain in the *** to get to Tuscaloosa like it is to get to Lincoln. Additionally, Bama rose at the turn of a major CFB shake up. Nebraska’s been irrelevant longer than we have. The elite Big 10 schools have been killing them in recruiting for the better part of two decades. I just don’t see how they make their school, without a significant infusion of cash and NIL (their new TV deal can help here) a top destination for recruits. They’d need a top HC candidate to turn that place around, and idk who they go after right now.Win and they come, see Tuscaloosa Alabama
The home game wasn't closeThey joined the BIG12 (With BYU, Cincy, Houston)and start conference play next year. They beat the Gators easily last January in their bowl game. I believe they have UF scheduled to play a 4 game series soon. They’ve played UM twice, both close games (home and away).
There is not a big gap at all between the FL programs.
I think you should field a competent unit… but having true specialists or even a Devin Hester now a days is kinda pointless due to the way the league rules are which is sad…There have been a lot of narratives in the nfl media that special teams doesn’t matter as much anymore…eoescislly Boston media questioning the amount of special teamers the pats keep on the 53 man roster
I read someone they are pumping into NIL so expect them to be a player once they get the right staff in place. The sport is all about money nowDifferent circumstances.
