Olsen suspended for failed drug test SMH

@mattyports: Have heard rumblings about Olsen suspension this week, but haven't confirmed. If @AKuperstein report is accurate, would be Olsen's 2nd susp.

@mattyports: As has been said by others, those close to #Canes program have been less than enthused by Olsen. They were v. happy Heaps became available.

Imagine if we didn't take Heaps.

We literally would to have started Kayya or Rosier week 1

well that means Kayaa is not redshirting and Heaps pretty much has won the job. he made that real easy

Give Kaaya a shot.

Would love too but i just know Golden.

Tom Smykowski: It's a "Jump to Conclusions" mat! You see, you have this mat, with different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO!

Michael Bolton: That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom.

Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea.

There should be no news this close to training camp. First a coaching shake up, now this, and beast is saying more news is coming. Don't do this to me, Canes...

Maybe there was more to Heaps talking, acting, and taking pictures like he was going to be the starter than just confidence. Anyway, he's the guy now, so hopefully the freshman year Heaps shows up. And, dammit Olsen, seriously? How hard is it to get your freakin act together? You have the chance to be the starting QB at the University of Miami. Really?

Golden is just hedging here. He did this so he doesn't have to make a difficult decision, but if Heaps struggles he can plug Olsen right in and claim it was his plan all along. Pathetic.

According to WQAM host and NBC 6 anchor Adam Kuperstein, Miami Hurricanes quarterback Kevin Olsen will be suspended for at least one game this season for failing a drug test. The report has not been confirmed by the University of Miami and comes amid an intense battle for the starting quarterback job.

Olsen, a highly touted freshman out of New Jersey, is the brother of former Hurricane great Greg Olsen, now a tight end for the Panthers. He did not register any playing time last season and was redshirted to preserve eligibility.

ESPN rated him as the No. 4 high school quarterback in the 2012

Given all his accomplishments at UM, a one game suspension...

So you're implying Golden set up Olsen??? And his plan all along was to get him suspended?? Dude wtf are you talking about.

This right here...it's immature to the point of being selfish. What about having some concern that you're going to let your team down?

Olsen was suspended during bowl week for same offense. This isn't on golden this is all on Olsen.

Gotta put the pipe down. Wonder the date on the fail...last year?

doubt it, he was already suspended last year for the bowl game bc of the failed drug test. I'm guessing they recently got tested before camp starts and he failed again

Mentioned above, Geo305 street cred just received a boost. As for QB situation holding out some hope Heaps unleashes an "F U" season as Bill Simmons would say and live up to all the HS hype in his final shot at doing so. Kayaa is emergency #2 until RW is cleared and we don't have to burn Brad's shirt barring an early season injury to Heaps. Labor Day can't get here soon enough, anybody who claims to know what to expect from this team I feel is wrong because it's an absolute mystery that could go really well or really poorly. Obviously hoping for the really well but we shall see

Clearly Golden slipped him the drugs. Then Olsen chose to be responsible and not smoke the weed so Golden had to change Olsen's pee. You nailed this story!
