Michael Jackson-Kerr DB from Alabama committed-unconfirmed

Not bad, definitely seems like a pest to the offense. Nebraska and Minnesota also offered which is promising.

The ONLY positive thing I can take from this is that he apparently had early offers from both Tuberville and Pelini.

Here we go with the bashing kids because they ain't from South Florida **** again

I won't blast him because he's not from SoFla but we should rarely ever leave SoFla for CBs. If we do it's for elite talent.

Carlton Davis: Battle to be won later
Devante Davis: As long as Ice Harris is employed, I believe we lead for all BTW players
Sheldrick Redwine: Same player as Jackson

I'm lost on the anger and upsettedness

You don't take this kids commitment unless you don't feel confident on other targets which is what I'm sensing here.

If the staff doesn't feel confident in landing their top targets, then Rashad Fenton and Ronnie Hoggins should become the new priorities. Not this kid. But he's bigger than they are, so apparently that's all that matters to Golden/D'Onofrio/Williams.

Why should those guys be priorities over this kid?

if true, a very inexplicable take when you have guys like Redwine, Fenton, Davis RIGHT IN YOUR BACKYARD.

So we are back to assuming this staff is going to close strong, even though they haven't? Dangerous games my man. I don't like this. I hope I'm wrong but dammit this whole scene is playing out sketchy as ****.

I'm convinced now more than ever that Golden is trolling this university. Fat boy just accepted a commitment from a players who highlights consist of practice......lmao, well done Al, well done.

Maybe we can get those two guys as well. It's not like we're going to take just one corner. But then again with this staff, we may just take one corner.

Closing strong is a necessity. It's not something that can be avoided, although I think they've done as well as they possibly could up to this point.

South Florida kids wait. It's simply how it goes and you have to be able to close on some of them. If they can't close on Marcus Lewis or Devante Davis or Carlton Davis, then bury them and you'd have every right to do so, but they simply aren't going to be locking up top targets in October. It's not going to happen and hasn't ever really happened during Golden's time here.

i hate getting OOS rahkroots at positions like DB, WR, RB, etc. Staffs around america are killing themselves to get someone from our area and here we are getting 2 star alabama kids with no interest from bammer/auburn.

Yeah i mad. real mad.

Golden has found quite a few prospects to this point that people flipped out about and they paid off so I'm not writing this kid off at all. This **** though, just makes me nervous man. This is pretty late for one of these types of commits.

Here's why...

Hoggins
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1355434/highlights/180093375

Both are having great seasons. Hoggins has 14 INTs and a bunch of pick-sixes. But instead of even offering either of them, we're taking this kid and it seems to reinforce the notion that they have a bias for size over everything. Even though Fenton and Hoggins appear to be clearly superior football players.

What do you do when one of these guys is covering George Campbell?
What do you do when one of these guys is covering Myles Gooch?

You could make a case that our two best, most consistent DBs have been Gunter and Elder. Not florida guys. Still. Well never mind....
