My complete uninformed guess is 1 OG, and 1 OT. Both guys that have exp and will push Congdon/Buchanan/Pickett at IOL and Cantwell/Ervin/Hawks at OT. If they end up beating them out to start, then that’s not a bad thing. Raise the floor. I’d imagine SJ/Woodrow compete for OC and with that being said, probably should bring in a vet there too for insurance.

I can see a few older guys portaling out like Minaya, Campbell, Wilkerson since it appears they have been passed up (still puzzled by Wilkerson tbh with the noise he was getting in offseason to Meriweather surpassing him). We will need bodies, as always.

There is no way this staff will go after more than 1 or 2.

If Samson returns, that’s 3 returning starters, along with another year of development for the 2026 class, which was widely regarded as the best OL recruiting class of the cycle. You could have 15 returning offensive linemen, with 4 more coming in through recruiting. Even if 2-3 guys leave through the portal, that still puts you at 17-18 OL on the roster. It’s hard to believe this staff is going to carry 20-22 offensive linemen.

In the past 2 cycles (including portal) they took 8 DTs. Miami does not need anymore developmental 3 star DTs, Miami needs 2 guys who will push for playing time the moment they step on campus.

We may need that many but that depends on the development of Minaya/Wilkerson/Campbell. I am not expecting much of the 3 so I expect to go for 2-3 in the portal. One potential starter and one rotational piece.

As for DE, I'd rather pass on the MD kid and go for a more experienced DE1.

Minaya was also getting similar noise the previous offseason….
