I know attendance has been an issue for years... but looking around college football its hard to understand how we can ever compete with Ohio St., Alabama, Georgia, Clemson etc. when we cant sell out a home opener after Covid restrictions or pack the house 3 out of 6 games a year... maybe 70% the other 3. But what stings the most is that there seems to be zero plan to fix this AND zero sh*ts given. To me that pretty much sums up our Athletic Department... Zero Sh*ts Given.

Attendance sucked in 2001. Sit this one out.

90% of our home games have almost no one in the endzone upperdeck. They should consider tarps.

ASU drastically reduced the capacity of their stadium to avoid giant swaths of empty seats.

Not giving the U admin a pass, but it’s been that way for years. The Phins don’t sell out many games either. Miami is not a typical college town. The fans of all those teams you cite have nothing else to do and the demographic is totally different.

That’s one of the reasons HRS went to all that gimmicky **** - to try and attract more people not necessarily fans.

Yeah I never understood that. It looks fine with those big use on the upper parts of the end zone. If you have season seats there, allow the fans to sit somewhere else for games where their seats are covered

And what has been done to address it since? Can it be addressed?
Not according to CIS. Everyone ended up in the fetal position midway through the first this week.

I must have been saved by the ghost of the cat by being at the game. Fetal position avoided, the ghosts of Donna, Blake and the boogeyman didn’t get me…

I just dont think any organization or business should throw their hands up and say oh well, thats how it is. But that is what we are doing.
