Zaquan gone

Horton and Patterson are different. Horton was here for three years, it clearly wasn't really working out, there is a large enough sample size to work with to cut bait.

I am not saying Patterson wasn't getting passed up by other players, but the guy was only here for one year. No way someone like Day is THAT much better that we are calling Patterson third-string already.
I think you are missing the "between the lines stuff". He didn't have his head screwed on right. Sounds like it was for an extended period of time. Mario had enough.

You either go with the program or you leave.

Looking on what the issue is I understand and I understand why he's leaving. He's alright with me and I wish him well(just don't stay in Florida). Not gonna talk bad about him or his play last year as he was just a true freshman. Maybe he comes back at some point🙏🏿

Whys he leaving

Even as true freshmen, if you're displaced by transfers from Marshall, you probably aren't that good for whatever reason.

Now he’s not that good huh? This further proof that S.Florida high school football isn’t what it used to be. 20 years ago, 4/5 safeties from S Florida were guaranteed to ball out in college
He obviously wasn't as good as we all hoped. At least not as early as we all hoped. Otherwise he would have locked down a starting safety spot during one of the worst safety years we've ever had. Coaches were DESPERATE for a reliable starting safety last season.

People can be of two minds here. There are pros and cons. This isn't a binary choice.

Zaquan has talent. Zaquan didn't look good many times last year. Zaquan didn't have the greatest coaching, and perhaps he was not playing his best position. Zaquan had the opportunity to get better under new coaching. Zaquan getting better required him to show up for meetings and practices on time. Zaquan still has talent and may develop on and off the field elsewhere.

Tough situation. I'm always hopeful that things can improve and work out, but sometimes they don't.

I won’t lose sleep on this guy transferring. Get me a competent safety to play alongside Poyser please.

This is a message board. There isn’t room for gray thought. It’s all black and white. Either he sucks or we suck. There is no in between.

Just as I predicted

That may have been the example for him not to go there and it just didn't work out but most statements about their roster composition and snap counts are true. If you look at our snap counts half are still from HS players.

by the way, if people are showing up late for meetings and practices, that is not the only negative behavior. they are very likely doing a ton of other stuff that goes against the grain.

as you all know... I was a huge believer in quan

however - I think this team will reach full dominance by being a team and and with chemistry - we don't need selfish drama queens that expect or need special attention etc.

again love what I saw from poser Markeith and Brantley - super excited for them and to see them being close and getting hype together is what The U is about

will be interesting to see where he goes
