Zaquan gone

Then I would appreciate it if you tell me what the solution is.

Kid took the high road on the way so I wish him well unless he ends up at UF, FSU, ND or Ohio State.

My take- he has a high NIL value and one year in he has not shown the dedication off the field or the aptitude on the field to justify the cap number. We can spend the money elsewhere.

Omar Thornton in the same class from American Heritage was starting by the end of the year at Boston College and was one of their best players on defense. Xavier Lucas in the same class was a stud as a freshman at Wisconsin and someone we expect to be a top contributor on our defense this year. OJ Frederique was our most consistent DB as a true freshman. Kal-El Pascal at Bowling Green via Dr. Krop was starting down the stretch and was one of their best defenders. Same for Lawrence Johnson at FAU via Miami Palmetto. Y'all gotta stop this.

The kid wasn't ready to play but our OUT OF STATE safeties stunk it up. He was used out of position, I might add.
Lol.

You named 2 guys at power 5 and one transferred here. OJ performed better than his rankings but even now he’s not inline to start.

Patterson maybe out of position. He was recruited as a safety. He just flat out stunk and this goes back to HS where he was essentially position-less, had no responsibility and was a backyard ball player. He was gonna need lots of time to adjust to an actual role with responsibilities.

But none of that matters if you show up late to meetings and practices.

We're expecting to lose 8-10 guys so if we're signing 5 or 6 we'll be under 80 players on scholarship.
I don’t think that many leave. Obviously a few no brainers coming when you factor in $$, but a few you’d expect to leave always end up staying put.

Unless there’s 7-10 impact portal players who want in, I’d put the number by fall around 80-82.

A few walk-ons (Ruskavich etc) get the feel good story with the extra space.

Now he’s not that good huh? This further proof that S.Florida high school football isn’t what it used to be. 20 years ago, 4/5 safeties from S Florida were guaranteed to ball out in college
Almost as if poor investments on infrastructure and coaching at some point will come back to haunt you.

Then again, 20 years ago, the star rankings system wasn't as big as it is now and players could still fall through evaluations.

Seems like a nice person. I wish him well unless he plays us. Truth is I didn't even care when I read about it. I expect players to leave, not stay.

That was in the day fhey didn’t stack teams as much

Makes you really respect a guy like markeith. I’d guess he tried renegotiating…. And coach said..walk.
Or he saw the writing on the wall with the guys that came in.
Or he’s getting stupid money thrown at him by other schools.
Or all of the above.
