Definitely not in the ***…cause then it’s his turn…Where does one shoot a hippo to kill them?
With a bow + arrow, the heart, ideally...Where does one shoot a hippo to kill them?
I debated for several days posting what I knew could be a controversial pic. But, the relative anonymity enjoyed here - along with the heaps of testosterone - AND Mario's landing a "whale" proved too irresistible as the hippo is indeed a first cousin to the whale...so, you are spot on.Did they kill the hippo or was it already dead?
Assuming they killed it, how is that even possible considering their hide is so thick? Is that a cross bow in your hands?
And can they eat it? Seems like is mostly fat, like eating a whale
So many questions
Not controversial in my opinion.I debated for several days posting what I knew could be a controversial pic. Aight I need some backstory on your life and how you got here
I would have expected this statement from @ParanosIshotmounted a hippopotamus for Christmas.
Yep. Hippos kill more people in Africa than any other animal.
Hippos. Rhinos are extremely threatened as a species and not generally aggressive.I thought that was rhinos...
The upper hippocampus of courseWhere does one shoot a hippo to kill them?
My guess is its exactly like a whale. While you can eat parts there is a ton of fat but I doubt any of this animal goes to waste. They can likely use the fat for oil, soap, traditional medicine, fuel for fires for cooking/warmth.Did they kill the hippo or was it already dead?

Hundreds...Probably some big crocs too
I respectfully don’t think this was very controversial. Of course there is a line of thought that killing any animal for anything other than sustenance is wrong, and I can understand that. But I am confident that the Zambians will use every part of the animal as @Cookie917 noted.I debated for several days posting what I knew could be a controversial pic. Agreed. I dont think it is controversial, especially on this board. Post it on some PETA board and different story but also agree much different than the dentist paying 50k to sit in a comfy tree blind in a preserve that is stocked with animals and a high powered rifle with a scope that my 7 year old could make a 200 yard shot with ease.I respectfully don’t think this was very controversial. And a hippo doesn’t exactly qualify as trophy hunting. Which is purely for sport and money. I don’t have a lot of admiration for people who kill big animals by standing 500 yards away and shooting a rifle. A compound bow to kill a hippo; well that is another story altogether.
Yep. I shot this hippo at 22 yds...I respectfully don’t think this was very controversial.
