Ruined Spurrier’s Heisman season and has a major college football award named after him. Yeah, most of us didn’t see him play as a Cane. So what? Any list without him is incomplete.
I realize we're just looking at his UM career, but he was an 8 time NFL Pro Bowler and made the NFLs all decade team for the 70s and 80s.

This is fun, but impossible to objectively determine.

Just at DT we had Brown, Kennedy, Maryland, Sapp and Wilfork. If you leave off any of them, you will leave off a player that many of us watched and thought “he’s the best DT I’ve ever seen at UM”. I literally thought that about all 5 of them

For my money, Bubba Franks is the best TE I saw at UM. Very strong and could be a 6th Oline, and had fantastic hands. Not as straight line fast as Shockey or Winslow, but the best combination of attributes.

Two deep:

DE Ted Hendricks/ Rusty Medearis

DE Rueben Bain/ Greg Rousseau

DT Jerome Brown/ Warren Sapp

DT Tez Kennedy/Vince Wilfork

OLB Darren Smith/ Jesse Armstead

MLB Ray Lewis/ Jon Vilma

OLB Dan Morgan/ Jon Beason

CB Ryan McNeil/ Antrell Rolle

CB Duane Starks/ Phillip Buchanan

NB Keonte Scott/ Robert Bailey

FS Ed Reed/ Darryl Williams

SS Sean Taylor/ Bennie Blades

It was tough leaving him off. Just felt those other guys had better careers overall but even that can be debated
