• DT Nesta Silvera, DE Patrick Joyner, CB DJ Ivey, CB Al Blades, and DB Gurvan Hall are freshmen who will start to see an increase in playing time moving forward after impressing against Savannah State, according to defensive coordinator Manny Diaz.

And what willis said about nesta.
• Willis is excited to see how Silvera develops during the course of this season. “He has that dog in him,” Willis said. “He is a pitbull. He keeps it going. I would definitely go to war with Nesta.”

More hall hopefully means less knowles.

“More hall hopefully means less knowles.”

I’d like to believe that but Diaz is in love with Knowles.

what dont these people get? he wasnt recruited to be soley a DE or DT but the staff made it clear between
his fresh and soph year he outgrew the position of DE.

You say he "outgrew" the position like he naturally developed that way? wasnt he put on a weight gaining plan bc the staff wanted him to move inside bc we had zero talent and depth at DT?

He could just as easily trim down the weight and be back to a traditional DE size... Gerald Willis could play out side in some situations if necessary, weight isnt the issue.. it's about the type of talent u have.

It would’ve honestly depressed me to have seen Nesta play like he does in another uniform. Just seeing how he plays and what he potentially could become to our defense, makes up for any recruit we didn’t get in the last 2 years IMO

Out of the starting DL I have really only been impressed with Willis and Garvin.... Get Joe Jack back to last seasons form and more Nesta and we may be in business.
Garvin is nasty.. Run defense has gotten better. He sheds well. Crashing down the line... and his pass rush is sick.

Hall was a bit dinged up before the season started wasn’t he(knee)? So maybe Staff wants to ease him in. But yeah Knowles got to go!!!!
knowles almost single-handily cost us the FSU and Ga Tech games last year

If you are going to get the same production from Bethel as you would from Nesta, might as well roll the dice IMO. Only person I would like to see step up more is Ford. He could really put us in business if he takes his game to the next level.
Agree 100%. Willis is a one man wrecking ball. The guy just destroys offensive lines. Willis has AA potential. No surprize about Nesta. This kid is just an elite DT with toughness and a mean streak. Nesta is a dominator and one of those rare kids that have both a high floor and a high cieling. Silvera will get better with every game. I'm looking forward to seeing Willis and Silvera rag doll the Seminole OL. I haven't given up on Ford but I realize that he is going to take a little longer in his development. I just want to see Ford continue to get better as the season progresses. I like Bethel because he's going to lay it all out on the field and he is extremely versatile. I see him as the DT equivalent of Trent Harris. As long as Tito is serviceable to solid for us I'm good. Jordan Miller is the intriguing one to me. Unbelievable quickness and get off for a guy his size. Miller has the raw tools. The question with Miller is how long it will take for him to "get it".

Good Lord, please let that mean no more Knowles for the rest of the season. Even if we’re up 50pts. He’ll give up 2 quick TD’s probably if he was put in then.
