Herndon and Berrios will be sorely missed this year.

And it's funny, because the kids replacing them will be more physically talented. So, in the Playstation world many people live in, you take out a kid who has a 84 rating with a 86 in speed (generic example) and replace them with a player with higher attributes, well then it's an upgrade.

Unfortunately, on Earth, it doesn't work this way. You can't quantify experience, rapport with the QB, being calm/clutch in the moment, being exactly where you need to be on the field, diagnosing/reading coverage, finding soft spots within zones, etc.....all the things that come with being a veteran.

There are going to be times this year when Rosier is going to throw at Jordan/Mallory and Thomas in the middle of the field, and there's going to be confusion and the play is going to break down. There's going to be times this year when those kids drop passes. We just have to hope that, for one, they don't come in critical moments, and for two, they're off-set by some plays those kids make with their athleticism that the ones who are gone could not.

But make no mistake, those 2 were huge security blankets for Rosier last year, they were leaders, and they were clutch as ****. You're not just replacing them with true freshmen and sophomores getting their first taste of the college game and learning new positions.

the biggest thing about why Berrios was so good was because of his relationship with Rosier. That can't and won't be replicated this year.

I disagree.
His relationship with Berrios was established in one off-season.
It can happen.
Actually, it has to happen.
