Pompano is an animal into itself. The location is ok. Not awful, but not great. The "clientele" appear to be battling various stages of cirrhosis, cocaine addiction, unemployment and dental loss. It's not incredibly different than the crowd that would assemble at the old Orange Bowl Bar or the Mos Eisley Cantina. Given your experience, am I really that far off?

Pompano is an interesting animal. You’re absolutely right on a lot of those accounts, especially West of Dixie highway.

East of Dixie highway is a mixed bag, some really nice places, and some really dumpy.

They’re building a lot of high rises now and trying to make it more upscale but it will never be what they want it to be.

But to answer your question, no you’re not far off. But east of Dixie is pretty nice and east of federal is very nice
