A draft would be the end of recruiting as we've known it and would immediately transform college football. Suddenly, actual coaching would matter like it does in the NFL (bye bye Saban) and the sport's appeal would go national like never before. And it would be a monumental slap to the head of the SEC. All those 5-star prima donnas who don't give a crap about academics getting selected in the first round to heading off to Oregon State, Boston College, Arizona, Wake Forest & Northwestern? Ha ha

I was going to bring up how Saban and several others have shown to be unsuccessful in a drafted talent team environment.
 
Right now Saban is busy putting the finishing touches on his plan to emasculate and humiliate Jimbo on Saturday night.
 
He doesn't really want a draft and trades. He's simply pointing out these kids aren't actually professional athletes by arguing the logical extreme of their position. It's exactly the sort of strategy a cheeky pirate would employ. Mike Leach is just too smart for college football.

In this scenario that fresh contract Mario just got would be our downfall lol. As some pointed to Saban, please remember that Mario is a recruiter and has been a very lackluster game day coach in his career thus far.


But thankfully, this would be a terrible idea and many more coaches would fail.
