Coaching You can’t defend Cristobal anymore

Put Mendoza on this team and we make the playoffs even with the half-retarded coaching. Likely still lose a regular season game because Mario (probably this one because it was the classic Mario failure), but guarantee we beat Louisville a couple weeks ago.

You could have the ‘85 Bears defense and Tom Brady and Mario would find a way not to make it.

yes I have, we all saw 48-0 loses, 52-20 loses. mostly 7 win seasons
There have been drastic improvements over the past 3 years to build the program.
Mario will always get out coached like Butch, but these guys can bring in talent and get the team good enough to compete, if 9-10 wins is our floor, I think we can eventually break through like Michigan did after 10 years.
do we all want to crush teams yes,

hes here for a long time, we all know it
He can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. I won't waste another weekend of my life watching him call timeouts to give the opposing team time to draw up a play on 4th and long. F that. Enjoy it yourself.

That's always the cure. "Get back to work. Try harder." No need to adjust/change/evolve/adapt just get back to work.

That's his problem in a nutshell.

He is so **** arrogant (not a unique trait amongst coaches) that what they're trying to do isn't the problem, it's the players execution of it.

I've never seen less changes made week to week to prepare for an opponent than I have with a Mario led team. Just work harder, that's the game plan, execute better, and if it doesn't work get back to it the upcoming week.

This approach is why he's constantly out coached. They know what's coming and guess what, even basic coaches stand a chance against him week to week.

Anyone not advocating for his termination at this point is complicit in the programs demise.
His termination would involve people paying a $60 million or so buyout. If that’s what it is I don’t see the guys who brought him here doing that and then dropping another $100 million commitment on a new staff. I’m not against what you advocate but I think the chances of it are slim. I think he’s here for years.

The biggest misconception is that you can’t hire a better staff and pay less. Yes, you can do that but you will have to hire a G5 coach, NFL assistant coach or elite college football program assistant as HC and pay elite coordinators. Spend the rest on NIL. In the near future there will be only a handful of head coaches making more per year than the NFL average annual salary of $6.6 million.

I remember during Harbaugh's tenure at Michigan he took a pay cut. Would Mario do the same?

I don’t think there’s a misconception at all about that because most of us know and have known that he’s a corch. I also don’t think we need to go to the G5 or the NFL but I’d be fine with it for the right hire. I bet Dawson would do better with this team without the cavemen involved in the running plays. I think Dillingham would do fine. There’s guys out there who can coach a better game.

Mario’s a really strong recruiter but as I’ve said, NIL is the great equalizer. Mario’s strength doesn’t carry the weight it does in the age of NIL. It has value though for certain.

It’s still a $60million or so buyout and I don’t know where that’s coming from.

Dillingham is an example of a coach who had been a coordinator only before becoming a head coach.

First round playoff win is 4 million or so, correct? We're basically losing money at this point.

I have stayed away from the fire Mario stuff because o think it’s pointless with the guaranteed money out there. Unfortunately, Ugator and LSU can or will do things we can’t or won’t with eating buyouts.

Yeah, not fireable imo at the moment. But that's not to say I don't think it should happen. The writing has been on the wall and we are financially tied to it.
