Dude, he left because that sh**y troll Hillary Shalala wouldn't give him a decent contract. One that he was worthy of. So he left for Cleveland. Butch Davis has stated this numerous times. She went cheap and he left. It isn't like he wanted to break the bank either. What that guy did for Hurricanes football will NEVER be duplicated. I am so sick of people saying he "Abandoned" the program. He deserved more money and the troll wouldn't pay him.

Yes, I would welcome that guy back to coach this disaster of a football program. I would even say that the current state of Miami is worse off now than it was in the mid 90's when he took over. Now we are in a vicious cycle. We started with Hiring Coker on the cheap, Shannon on the cheap, then Golden. Now we pay more money for cheap coaches.

I'm not piling on you for the comment because most people don't pay attention as to why Butch left.
 
After everything IV heard this week a lot of which is from a former staff member now at top 5 school ( put two and two together) Blake James and Strawley have got to go if we ever want to win anything. These two imbeciles have no idea how to run a big time program!

But LA Tech and Western kentucky are getting studs? He’s playing the C-USA with south Florida players. UAB won that conference two years after not even having a football team. 😂 Lane Kiffin even won the conference after FAU’s 3-9 season and he’s 2-0 vs Butch.

Yeah that’s some serious duck tales of why Butch left. Dude made us great again and I appreciate it but dude left because he was trying to get paid not because Miami was trying to be cheap.
