Years later

If he gets to hang around long enough this time, he's going to tell you all about how Donna Shalala isn't really responsible for the downfall of the Miami Football program, and that Nevin Shapiro was actually a solid investment banker on the up and up when he was railroaded by some disgruntled clients.

You'll get mad if I call this a lie...

Goddammit. Here we go again. Everybody lies. You have all the facts.

Guys, this is an Al Golden apologist troll who's been band numerous times. It's never Al Golden the coach's fault that the players he coached weren't any good. It's the bum *** players that made Golden look bad.

Good to know. Folden screwed many a p,Ayer up while he had the reigns of a major college program; there’s no denying his hand in their development, or lack there of. To think it otherwise is just a troll job, and not a very good one at that.

Al Golden troll? What are you smoking?

I would happily blame Al Golden if you had any evidence that he failed to use Anthony Chickillo's abilities and it's his fault that he had a mediocre career.

But Anthony Chickillo has been just as mediocre and just as a slow and just a as plodding playing in a different system for different coaches.

See, I actually demand proof for things.

I know. Crazy, right?
So coaches have no effect on the quality of players they coach? Fascinating. Someone should let the taxpayers of Alabama know about this.

There's no evidence whatsoever that coaching is what made Chickillo mediocre.

He's mediocre right now after 4 years of NFL coaching.

I think the jury is in on him. He's just not very good and never has been.

Never said that.

Another lie.

Shock.

I said that Chickillo's weaknesses are all athletic ones and all of his strengths are technical ones. But everybody blames the coaches for the fact that he's slow and plodding and slow-twitch.

Those are no coaching issues. Those are natural ability issues.

Nick Saban recruits 5-star players that are actually elite. He coaches well for sure but he's not making anybody an NFL star without the requisite talent.

Chickillo was always overrated and never very athletic. That's his issue. He's big and slow.

So the coach who takes a slightly overweight and therefore a little sluggish 4-3 OLB and tries to pack 120 lbs on him and convert him into a 3-4 DE is not at fault here at all? Then explain why Pittsburgh had him cut weight and move back to OLB/RE in the NFL?
