Yearby not with the team

Yearby was with the team in June because when I brought some of my players down for the camps we saw him out there with everyone else. Now this was the earlier camps we went to on like the 6th and 7th but he was there, saw him with my own eyes. Now after that I dunno...

I would have bet money that Ice was gonna have the best unit on the team. Not assigning blame but **** first we miss on every elite RB but Walton 5 months ago and now we may have lost a starter? Pathetic. Just pathetic.

I would have bet you. lack of talent (we have a potential elite in Walton, a serviceable but backup type in Yearby, and nothing else) , worse OL in 2015, no NFL WR or TE, and no Duke. PLUS a bad OC, who has already been figured out.

Teams stuffed the box on us and stopped Duke when it mattered in 2014. Now they get a UM offense minus NFL receivers, TE, RB and on the OL.

Teams will make Kaaya beat them, again. At best. Heck, they might even NOT sell out on stopping the run, because we may not have a running game.

How can you say Yearby is a "serviceable backup"?? Had he not gotten hurt in high school and played a full season he may have ended up getting a 5th star.. He was rated **** near as high as Dalvin Cook.

I don't usually pay much attention to rankings I would rather see them with my own eyes and Yearby proved last year he has potential to be elite. He is a scat back type but he is good at what he does. I don't think he can carry a full load but to label him serviceable backup is stupid

I expected Walton to pass him on the depth chart, just not this soon if the rumors are true.

What you two do for every bit of negative news.

Gray hasn't shown the ability to carry the ball correctly and he's a much better fit at WR but you and your ilk will trot out that all is well and no issues exist.

And even if Yearby will be back in time for everything, this still speaks to toxicity around the program. Not returning calls from his teammates after we've been told that all is well and it's all about the WE? Give me a break. Leadership might keep the friends together but there's already cracks in the team unity evidently in terms of buying in. Lemming soldiers for Golden is apparently failing.

I prefer not to go into limp wristed shrill porster mode at any piece of news, good or bad, period.

Wow... Vern was right

Sorta not really kind off

I told u he was suspended for games what happened after that I dont knpw Ive been off for the Summer

Don't believe this is linked to suspension

Gotta be related somehow, I could make a few calls to find out but I just dont car that much anymore

Vern enjoy your summer, I've stopped worrying about the program and it's actually made life a little more enjoyable. Are you athletic director?

There is that phrase again, had he. Quite frankly I'm tired of the had he and if that surrounds these players, coaches, and programs. Real RBs laugh at this program when they sign with real football programs like the Ohio State University, Georgia, Florida State, and Bama. This program is a god **** joke and will continue to be until we are long gone.

Crazy - at any other school in the country, if a coach missed out on this many running backs in his tenure, he would be hung.

Last time I checked - we had Duke, James and Miller as our last 3 backs. RB is the least position I'm worried about.

Last time I checked, we don't have any of them now

An all 3 either initially committed or signed to the previous staff... This staff inherited 4 NFL backs... As of right now I don't see that talent... I don't think they are capable of bringing in that type of talent... Although I must admit I do like Gus...

Yearby by may not have returned calls from teammates due to poor cell phone reception. My sources tell me he is switching cell phone providers and it will be all good.

This. Yearby is ELITE. He was 7th in the country. Look at the backs in front of him. Fournette, Cook, Chubb, Freeman and Reid. Stop sleeping on this guy. We NEED him

Or you just want to come off as above the fray while you hold on to dear life that Al might be the guy. And that very post you said was limp wristed and then you doubled down with nothing but spinning your wheels and no counterpoint. Swing and miss dude.

Interesting I see it differently. I had the opportunity to watch for the 5th time the UM vs FSU game. I disagree regarding lack of talent. Dobard will be fine at TE, Linder played a lot , Isadora played a lot so did Trevor Darling. McDermott will be a good one that's 4 linemane with game experience.. They will not be as good as last year but definitely serviceable. We need a 6th or 7th lineman to step up and we will be fine.

WR- Berrios got open (coming off of an ACL tear), Malcolm Lewis will be 100% back from broken ankle, Reshawn Scott (our best WR potential wise if he's healthy) we are much deeper than we've ever been , Lewis, Berrios, Waters, Scott, Coley all experienced WR.

As far as a bad OC I disagree I think he was an OC that 1. Was told to ride Duke first and foremost 2. Especially vs. FSU was made to be Vanilla on offense no one called him a bad OC in the 1st half. same guy calling plays.

As far as RB I have long felt that when Gus is given opportunity he shines. I don't know about his injuries but I do know he looks like the fastest RB we had (even last year) and he was close to 230 lbs. Yearby played well but you could tell he was still a little sore from injury from HS.

We should have used all three backs creatively last year even if it meant throwing the ball to Gus Edwards (ala) Mike James from the Full back position I would like to see Yearby and Gus in backfield together more often..
