Not surprised that the numbers are similar. We are banking on evaluations being better. We aren't turning into Georgia or Alabama like some want to believe.
What we know is how many of the highly rated guys from 2021 ended up being busts. Jake Garcia, Jeremiah Payton, Mark Pope, Nesta, etc.

Our better retuning players are lower ranked with a ton of higher rated young guys. What we will learn is how good this staffs talent evaluation is compared to 2021.

But we are trending overall toward the big boys in terms of blue chip %

I think that our top end talent at various groups is better.

*Ranked higher*, it's too early to say anything is better outside of OL.

That 21 class of WRs
Ouch
Best of the bunch were sub-.900 grades, and simply worked harder

Randy Shannon had that beat in 2008. He fielded a team that had 14 linebackers, including nine true freshmen.

That's a ridiculous amount of oversigning at one position.
I would think backers make the best special teams players.

I think RB and LB are also night and day better
I like the LBs we have Bobby being my favorite. I still haven't seen enough yet from the group. RB I'll have to disagree until I see some more progression. Nobody in that room scares you.

it's actually incredible that manny's staff somehow managed to sign so many duds, almost went out of their way to do so
I am sure some of them would have turned out to be duds no matter what, but I do wonder how many busts would have ended up not being busts if they went elsewhere (not just talking about Miami). Either because they were coached better, played in a system that was friendly to them and/or there was a better culture.

I suspect with Manny a lot of it was the culture; not necessarily saying he caused it, but at the least I don't think he was able to change it.

It's more of an indictment of how little the guys from 2021 produced outside of the QBs and WRs. Mauigoa and Bissainthe are better than all of the guys we trotted out from the 2021 team. Manny signs the higher ranked Chaney and Rooster over Parrish, Parrish transfers in and takes all their snaps.
