Year 3 (Miami 2024 vs Miami 2013)

LOL! Foreal. Northwestern was nasty that year. Talk about buying the hype. I was ALL in on that class
I honestly believe with the right offense they could’ve had more success, especially when you consider the receivers we signed. We should’ve ran an air raid.

NOTES
  • As with the 2009 team comparison, an item that immediately stands out is how thin 2013 was. Depth was fraught, with only 75 scholarship players on the team due to year over year attrition and self sanctioning. Defensive tackle featured an almost unbelievably low four players, while wide receiver stood at just seven (an additional wide receiver recruited in 2013 did not end up on the team).
  • 2013 Miami was an extremely young at safety, which had average experience of just 0.7 years
  • The 2024 Canes have 21 transfer players on their roster. 2013's team had two transfers
  • The 2013 Canes recruiting class had an average ranking for true freshmen of .8667. The 2024 Canes incoming freshmen average .9086

Anyone else trying to process how Kevin Olsen would be the highest rated QB on the combined roster, (by a long shot)??

Or that Luther Robinson would be a higher rated DL than: Marley Cook, Joshua Horton, CJ Clark or Ahmad Moten?

How about Jared Wheeler being the preferred OL prospect over Anez Cooper?

Would your pick at safety be KC Rogers over Mishael Powell?

Who would you rather have in the slot .... X or Malcolm Lewis?

And there's Raphael Kirby at LB over guys like Mauigoa, Bissainthe, and Aguirre

I mean, even if you are ignorant enough to buy into the HS recruit ranking system, this is just disturbing.

About as bad as the NFL first round evaluations.
