Regarding the Covid year, make no mistake, the ACC's goal that season was to have a Clemson vs Notre Dame ACC title game. The entire conference schedule was pre-arranged to ensure it. That's why we ended up going to Clemson that year (the game after playing FSU).

2022 and 2023 were supposed to be our home and home cross divisional series with Clemson but now the divisions are going away, but the schedules are still set. Why we're playing @Clemson in '24 is unclear to me. We do not get a return game in 2025 as the new conference scheduling format will be in effect. If I didn't know better I'd assume that a political cabal of tobacco road schools was in charge of conference scheduling. lol

Yea facts we definitely need a spread that can still get physical and move people off the ball when necessary. I really do believe one of those guys would start at tackle next season tho opposite Campbell

We'll see if Cristobal makes coaching changes at the end of the year. I'm ok with Steele at the moment, sure his defense has had busts but overall they've played well enough to win most of our games (that MTSU game was hopefully an aberration).

Gattis on the other hand has been awful in every game except BCU (and that game doesn't matter). He's got 7 games to earn an extension... If we're producing the same results in game 12 he needs to go.

The one thing Manny did do was get rid of enos and bring in lashlee which dramatically improved the offense. If the offense doesn't improve and he doesn't make a change I see him garnering a Golden-esqe level of hate from the fanbase early on.

This unfortunately breeds a toxic environment and hurts recruiting. That's really my biggest fear as this thing turns.

Well, they may need to. This OL is terrible. Maybe some current youngsters get better with experience, another year of S&C and coaching by Mirabel, but I wouldn’t count on it. Mario also needs to hit the portal hard this offseason.

I expected it to take time to be in playoff contention. I didn't expect it to take time to simply replicate the results of the last coach who just got fired for low performance.

All this rebuild talk is cray. Nobody brought Mario in to rebuild anything. They brought him in to build on the foundation in place. You think the Dolphins brought in McDaniel to tear the floor up that Flores laid down for the last few years? Get rid of everybody and start all over again? **** no. Nobody really has time for 5 year rebuilds. If Mario has to tear a 7-5 team with majority of it's starters, including the qb, down to 5-7 just to put his stamp on the team, then he could be hit or miss.

Yes he could miss. Scott Frost looked like a couldn't miss at UCF. His first year at Nebraska, he replicated the deposed coaches record. I'm sure fans were peddling the same crap "he just needs a little more time". 4 years later it turns out he was horrible.

Until Mario proves something here, no one should tell anyone to be patient. If you want to sit on your hands, do it.

He shouldn't be fired today but his product should be hella critiqued. Because it looks bad.

Miami played Clemson in 2020 as a COVID reshuffle and no divisions that year (with Notre Dame in the conference for the season.) Same reason Miami got Virginia at home in 2020, after already having them at home in odd years—which made for three straight for the Cavs at HardRock.

Miami did a home / away with Clemson in 2004 and 2005—this year it's at Clemson and next year the Tigers are at HardRock. (They were also in Miami in 2015.)

2020 was just a wonky ACC season with no divisions and had the Canes and Tigers meeting up.
