Year 1

I don't think it is officially year one until no players that were on the roster during the cloud are left. The 2020 season to make sure all redshirts are gone is the first season, and any logical fan gives a coach three years. If you are judging Al Golden prior to the 2024 season you need to get a life, move out of your moms basement, get a girlfriend, not be so miserable or however else that all goes.

While we schools do allow for discounts to a staff members family, free isn't usually the case.

You sure? I seem to remember reading that Shannon's son got free tuition when He transferred from FIU.

That's an immediate family member and very well could've been the case. When I was looking into college a long time ago, my uncle (who was the head of their business department at the time and has written numerous collegiate textbooks) mentioned going to IU at a reduced rate, but free it wasn't to be. One of my cousins would've been lucky to get in anywhere, went to IU per their reduced family admissions through him. I'm sure every school has similar things, he's taught at Northwestern, Washington, and Enciad (number one business school in the world at the time and in France), but non-immediate family members could create quite a financial burden I'd imagine.

well, at least if certain players on the team don't like Golden, they get to kick the **** out of his relatives on the practice squad.

Wait, doesn't Golden's son play on the team? Curious!

There are actually two Golden's from NJ on the roster as walkons. Guessing they get free tuition from Albert's employment? And nothing better to do, so go play pattycake with Uncle Al's team... That's why he won't step down maybe? Awesome family man.. Football coach, not so much

Yea he did because he was a scholarship who took advantage of the transfer rule... He was a 3 year starter at FIU then he transferred to UM and was a starter at center the entire season... I don't know if Golden's relatives have scholly's or not but the situation is different...

That being said, I don't see how any parent can say this... I don't know but it seems like every new class that comes in point figures at their predecessors... We sort of seen Patchan do the same thing in 08 but then signed with UF... We saw once the 08 class left the 11 and 12 classes were pointing fingers and saying "not us", now since those players have left we see the blame being deflected to them and the younger guys are saying "not us"... I rather players take on the blame and just say we're working hard... No more subtle shots at the departed players.
