The goal is to break even in a few years and establish that official partnership with the NFL. That’s the XFL’s end game - to become the NFL’s G League. They have to prove they will last however.
It's gonna be tough to do.... 60 mil is a big hit to take on a startup league... I get they have things in place to try to offset it as time goes on but when you can't get people to go to games or watch it's a tough sell.... I've tried watching some games on TV and first thing you notice is how they make every effort to avoid showing the stands unless the actual play they're covering requires it....
It's the first year back and we knew there would be bumps but history says it probably won't last... the quality of the actual game play is really bad... I mean yea they'll have a head turning play every now and again but overall it's tough to watch....

The only non NFL pro league I actually followed was way back when the old USFL played and Herschel Walker played for the NJ Generals. That was a quality league that actually drew fans. They just couldn’t get player budgets under control.

This XFL league is straight out bad. If they can’t fix the product in the field, they’re doomed.

The XFL needs to advertise locally in each team's home market. Talk up the former college stars that may have ties to the area or name visiblity.

As for viability, when Vince McMahon relaunched the XFL he had the financing to keep the league going for two years. However the pandemic blew everything out of the water. Hopefully Johnson has similar funding lined up.
