XFL starts tomorrow...

Can this decrepit old fossil of an offensive coordinator let D'Eriq King throw a pass?

For **** sakes man!

They have to have planned for this. No way they couldn’t see this coming.
Version 2 did. Vince McMahon (under Alpha Entertainment) had put aside enough money to fund the XFL for two full seasons. Their relaunch was successful, but the pandemic shuttered the league a few weeks later.

Version 3 looks to be a choppy start. V2 had some semi filled stadiums; this version looks like it is struggling to draw 5K. That said, the XFL really needs to suvceed, as the NFL really needs a minor league.

I low key miss NFL Europe.

Also, I’ll be interested to see how the USFL do in season 2. They sent several players to the NFL after yr 1

I will say that the football is a bit better than what I had seen in some of the previous leagues. Not great but there are some entertaining teams. Although I'm still not tuning in very much. Maybe the general public just doesn't care enough to watch minor league football.

I know I sound critical but it's bad football... I watched week 1 and really haven't turned back since...
It's stuck in a weird kinda purgatory for me... Not better than high level college ball or low end pro ball...
Don't get me wrong , I'm sure the athletes themselves are giving their all but it's obvious why most didn't make it to the big-time...

It's much worse than FBS college football. The talent levels may be higher but the execution and over all play is much better in college than in 99%of these pro leagues. It's almost always the same problem. Bad QB play. There's only so many top tier QBs in the world and they all play in the NFL. Third string NFL guys make way more money than starting XFL quarterbacks so it's a no-brainer. There's definitely roster-able talent at some positions but QB isn't one of them. Same for OL.

Yea.. I agree... QB play is bad.... Makes it really hard to watch...

Sure, but I’m not saying I thought he was going to be Aaron Donald (although I thought he might be pretty close)…but he did absolutely nothing. Couldn’t even make a team. I cannot possibly be the only one surprised by this. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

I disagree with you on how dominant he was, BUT, he certainly looked good enough for a later pick (character issues probably hurt here) and at least a 3-5 year stint somewhere. It is odd.

If Willis truly had NFL caliber skill he'd be on a roster right now... He's just another in a long line of guys that didn't translate to the next level... Happens all the time and will continue to happen...
