Former Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Xavier Restrepo has been notified that he has made the Tennessee Titans' 53-man roster.

After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, Restrepo made his presence known this offseason after spending time on the practice squad last season. After all the hard work he has put in, he could now officially say he is on a NFL team.



Shortly after he heard the big news, he didn't take long to thank the man above: "The Places GOD Will Take You If You Give Him Your ALL."



Restrepo has been working with his former quarterback at Miami, Cam Ward. The two already built a special bond in college, which makes this duo a lot scarier heading into the season.

Yesterday afternoon, Restrepo played in the Titans' preseason game against the Chicago Bears. Despite the 24-15 loss, he recorded four receptions for 71 yards -- solidifying his spot in Tennessee. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a three-star prospect, receiving offers from the likes of 23 schools. He decided to stay close to home and play for his dream school.

Despite being a freshman in college, it did not take him that long to get into the flow of things at Miami as he put up historical numbers at Miami. He surpassed Santana Moss's career receiving yards record and also breaking the career receptions record, previously held by Mike Harley. During his four season with the Hurricanes, he totaled for 2,844 receiving yards on 200 receptions and 21 receiving touchdowns.

A lot of those guys were in the league for a good while. Remember the average shelf life of an NFL player is like 3 years. Most of those guys beat the odds.

Still shocked Damien hasn't made a NFL team. He was 1 ypc better than Fletcher in 2024. Making a NFL team ain't easy.

I bet most of those guys cut get added back to a practice squad. They're right on the border. X will get another chance. He may get picked up by another team, as well. He's shown he's QB friendly for both Cam and TVD. That work ethic and field IQ are transferrable.

 

Wow. I really hope they told him that making the 53 man roster was conditional so it wouldnt be a complete let down if they cut him.. ****. Cold world.
