X’s future

Braxton Berrios returned for his senior season and had a much more productive collegiate career than Xavier Restrepo, to date.

I think it's a 0% chance that Restrepo goes pro after this year.

As for Van Dyke, I think it's a 0% chance he returns if he has a good season and stays healthy. He'll play his way up the Draft board this season (if he keeps making NFL throws like he did against aTm) and can easily be a late first round / early second round pick when all is said and done.

Now IF all these cats made a pact to come back after getting close but not there this year .... ****, then Miami would be "back".

You’re not keeping it real. Before 2017 he had 3 seasons of being subpar. He stepped up his senior year, which was expected. Restrepo is in his 3rd year, most productive WR on the roster and number 16 in the nation in total yards, and number 2 in the ACC. Looks to me that there JR years aren’t even close. Now time will only tell, but if he stays healthy he is on pace to break Charleston Rambo receiving yards.
Do it this yr against FSU and UNC like Brax did then we'll talk....and what he did against ND including the Handcuffs walk is Legendary...do not give af what he did vs Temple, Bethune Cookman etc....do it in the BIG games against teams we're competing for an ACC title against, and I'll shine a crown.

statistically. I think he can. Just look at our schedule, GT's D is garbage, TVD blacks out vs UNC and always throws for like 500yds...

Right now, Charleston Rambo has the single season record for receptions and yards with 79 catches for 1,172 yds

And Harkerson has the record for TD's at 13
F records....Rambo and Hankerson aren't on the same planet as Irvin, Moss, Wayne etc....do it in the HUGE games...then we'll rap.

X is an nfl player….hate to say it but if I’m him…I go if TVD goes. I’ll be surprised if he comes back without TVD.

Santana is the Greatest "All Around" offensive threat in UM History....to put X, or Berrios in the same sentence with him, would make me do a Swan Dive off of the University MetroRail Depot....
Better player, better year or a better statistical year are different conversations. Santana was a monster and a threat every time he touched the ball.

I do love X though and think he's got the pedigree to ball out in big games for us. Can't wait to see him vs Clemson and especially at FSU

THOSE are the type of BIG games that I'm talking about....

Gotta factor in NIL. TVD making a lot of money this year. Will probably make more next year. He might come back to win a natty and a Heisman.

In the eyes of the NFL x is a poor man’s berrios. Last day pick of UDFA. I love the guy.
That's blatantly untrue. Brax himself was a poor man's berrios. One difference we have in the program now is with Zo involvement he communicated all throughout the year with NFL staffs. He gets feedback for the kids and tells us what we have to work on and where the feedback comes from. He does in my eyes need one more year of results and staying healthy. But he has tons of interest. He's already a fat more complete player than Braxton ever was with us... not a knock on brax. Just simple reality.

I can't read through all this ****. Did one of these idiots put x or berrios in the same conversation as Santana? Please tell me that didn't happen! I'd imagine anybody that could even possibly say something in that manner clearly never saw a day of Santana playing at the collegiate level. Has to be immensely young maybe 12 13 at best.

Berrios put up freak-level SPARQ numbers in high school (link), and was also not only a good return man, but a smart one, too.
Honorable Mention No. 1: Braxton Berrios—4.46 seconds
Just a 3-star receiver, Braxton Berrios turned heads at the SPARQ National Championship finals.
He posted the competition's best 20-yard shuttle time at 3.81 seconds and finished fifth overall with a SPARQ rating of 138.78. Not known for his straight-line speed, Berrios turned in a respectable 4.48-second 40 in his final run of the day.
He is one of a few players who will see his stock soar after this week in Oregon.

Berrios had the athleticism, return game prowess and clutch production on his resume and was drafted in the 6th round
Rambo had school-record production and went undrafted

X is a dawg, works hard, fearless both catching over the middle and throwing blocks, shows ability to built rapport with his QB to find open spots. He has a lot of traits that should endear him to GMs...but as of this moment, 9/17/23, he still has a lot to prove before people start penciling him in round 3 like OP is doing

Maybe they meant to say Senorice not Santana. Maybe the autocorrect got carried away or they got confused with their s placement. That happens to me a lot.

Steve Largent is X’s floor… may rename the Biletnikoff Award after him…

He’s just getting cooking… appetizer menu… more to come

Yessir they did...and my response was "Swan Dive off the University MetroRail platform"

On here I never know what's sarcasm, what's genuine or if the person saying it is just a blatant moron... I believe I remember your name as one of the individuals who loved negativity. But possibly I'm wrong. Either way I'll choose to laugh at the first half and semi agree with the second. Not really sure how much more(as far as elevation of his game opposed to consistency)he has to show. But he has plenty more of the same to show.
